The bar chart compares the top three global producers of four types of dairy products—milk, cheese, butter, and milk powder—in 2012. The units are measured in metric tons (MT).
In general, a similar trend was observed among the three major global producers, with the EU consistently leading in the production of four types of dairy products, followed by India and the United States (US). Additionally, among these categories, milk was significantly the most produced, far exceeding milk powder figures.
The EU dominated milk production, producing just under 150,000 MT, followed closely by India at around 130,000 MT. In contrast, the US lagged behind with approximately 90,000 MT. Milk powder followed a similar pattern, albeit at a lower rate. The EU produced the majority (just under 1,250 MT), while India and the US produced lower quantities, around 1,100 MT and over 750 MT, respectively.
Concerning butter, there was a significant disparity of around 2,500 MT in production, with the EU surpassing India. The EU produced nearly 4,500 MT, while India produced only 2,000 MT. India produced almost twice as much butter as the US, which produced only 800 MT. Finally, the EU produced about 7,000 MT of cheese, whereas India accounted for nearly two-thirds of the EU's amount, at 5,000 MT. Remarkably, the lowest production of cheese was recorded in the US, at just 500 MT.

Step 3: Completing the essay
It is widely acknowledged that a significant portion of adults are postponing parenthood. This trend can be attributed to multiple factors and carries implications for both families and society as a whole.
Many individuals are opting to delay having children for various reasons. Firstly, the rising cost of living in many parts of the world, especially urban areas, is the primary driver behind this trend. Young married couples often find it challenging to afford rent along with their other expenses, so they frequently postpone having children until they are more financially stable, given the significant costs associated with raising a child. Certainly, economic stability is a crucial prerequisite for successful parenting.
Secondly, many people are delaying parenthood in order to focus more on career advancement and educational pursuits. Both men and women often prioritize establishing a solid foundation in their careers and completing higher education, as assuming the responsibilities of raising a family can be demanding and time-consuming, potentially conflicting with their aspirations.
From a familial perspective, older couples are often characterized by their composure and accumulation of life experiences, along with the resources available to them due to established careers and financial security. Consequently, children in these households are typically well cared for, including access to quality education and healthcare services.
However, on a societal level, one of the most significant consequences of delayed parenthood is the transformation of demographic patterns within society. Essentially, age distributions in communities will change, with overall birth rates decreasing and the elderly population growing. This could lead to a shrinking young population, potentially resulting in shortages in human resources and subsequent economic challenges. Simultaneously, an aging population may strain healthcare services, pension systems, and social support networks.
In conclusion, people are choosing to have children later in life largely due to the financial pressures of modern life and their pursuit of educational and career ambitions. This trend benefits family life but can also contribute to serious social and economic issues.
