IELTS Writing Task 1
Task 1: The diagram shows the process of making soft cheese. |

The diagram illustrates the stages involved in the production of soft cheese.
In general, the process of making soft cheese can be divided into five clear steps. Specifically, it begins with mixing water and milk and concludes with the production of soft cheese.
Initially, water and milk are blended in a mixer. Following this, the mixture is cooled for 2 hours at 5°C. Salt is then added to the cooled mixture, which is fermented for 2 hours at 35°C. Consequently, the liquid thickens significantly during this stage. The fourth step involves evaporation at 100°C for eight hours, with the released steam exiting through an outlet.
Next, the mixture undergoes cooling for another eight hours at 5°C. As the mixture cools, it becomes very thick. The water is filtered out through a bottom filter, while the cheese is filtered through an upper outlet. It's also noteworthy that this cheese has a very soft consistency.
IELTS Writing Task 2
Task 2: Some people think that young people should be required to do unpaid work helping people in the community. Do the advantages outweigh the disadvantages? |
Sample
Many community initiatives heavily rely on volunteers who contribute their time and effort. Some argue that it should be mandatory for young people to engage in such programs to assist those in need. Despite potential drawbacks, I firmly believe that these programs bring overwhelmingly positive benefits.
On the one hand, establishing unpaid employment programs would be detrimental to the community as well as individuals. To begin with, young people are frequently immature for such employment. As a result, requiring them to assist the elderly, work on repair projects, or educate younger children would create more difficulties than it solves. These young individuals would require more supervision from the charity. Furthermore, high school students are under a lot of academic pressure, so fitting these projects into their schedule may be difficult, especially for those who want to achieve good academic results. As a result, developing this sort of program may appear complicated.
Nonetheless, these issues could usually be rectified, and there are clear benefits for both young people and the society. Although it is true that children are often immature, such projects would help them develop a feeling of responsibility and obtain practical skills that would be valuable in the future. Furthermore, encouraging youth to be community-minded would allow experienced volunteers to work less in the future, lowering their work-related stress. As a result, such programs would be highly beneficial by all.
To summarize, I fully endorse this plan. Although the concept of mandatory service might well be difficult to implement at first, and some may object, the long-term advantages would undoubtedly outweigh any short-term obstacles.
