A little và Little được dùng với danh từ không đếm được. Theo sau chúng là danh từ ở dạng số nhiều.
Một chút và Chút được dùng với danh từ đếm được
1, Một chút và Một chút
“Một chút” và “một chút” mang nghĩa tích cực, chúng diễn tả có sự vật, sự việc đang có, đang tồn tại ở hiện thực.
Một chút + danh từ đếm được số nhiều: có một chút, đủ để làm gì.
Ex1: She has been here only two weeks but she has already made a few friends. (Cô ấy đã ở đây chỉ 2 tuần nhưng cô ấy đã kết bạn được với vài người.)
Một chút + danh từ không đếm được: có một chút, đủ để làm gì.
EX2: I’m extremely satisfied. This month, I've managed to set aside a small amount of money. (Tôi cảm thấy rất hài lòng. Tháng này tôi đã dành được một ít tiền.) (I have saved some money instead of spending all of it) ((Tôi đã tiết kiệm được một ít tiền thay vì tiêu hết.))
