Band 8 Example
Nguyen wasn’t my classmate, and we aren’t in the same clubs at university either. I just met him by chance when we were both candidates in a citywide singing contest in our second year. At that time, he was an average guy with a silly smile always on his face, but of course that was not what made me notice him. I actually never did, until we bumped into each other at school a few months later. We talked more after that and became great friends since then.
If there exists something unique about Nguyen, it must be his manner of speech. He used to communicate with such a delightful tone and incorporate numerous playful jests, which invariably amused me even during times of distress. Additionally, we shared numerous commonalities, from our mutual ardor for music and diverse instruments to our romantic inclinations. I was genuinely impressed the first instance I learned about his infatuation with a girl in his class, for if I were a male, I would assuredly be enamored with her.
These aspects would suffice to elucidate why we could engage in lengthy conversations. On occasion, I would dedicate entire days, from 7 in the morning till 10 in the evening, solely to recline beside him on the floor of a serene café and converse. What truly astounds me is our failure to initiate a romantic liaison as those around us anticipated. Nevertheless, I have eventually found my beloved, as has he. We remain friends, exceptional friends, yet currently, we pursue our respective lives and relationships. Nonetheless, he remains, in my eyes, the most enjoyable individual to converse with.
I express my gratitude for your attentive listening.
