It was all the rage at my former school because mastering it required great skill and patience to craft intricate paper figures. It posed as a thrilling challenge for youngsters, you know. I was enthralled by all the excitement, so I sought guidance from my seatmate to teach me the basics. Despite being a male student, he excelled in origami within our class. He patiently demonstrated the simplest form – the crane. It seemed effortless when he performed it. He instructed me to meticulously follow each step to replicate a paper crane. However, actions spoke louder than words; my attempts resulted in a hopelessly misshapen creation that barely resembled the intended form. I couldn’t pinpoint my errors. Even after his repeated demonstrations, my outcome showed little improvement. Eventually, he abandoned the effort, leaving me deeply disappointed in myself.
Upon reflection, I realize my clumsiness and impatience hindered my progress. My eagerness led to hasty execution, overlooking the fact that origami demands precision and calmness. This admiration for origami artists persists. Perhaps in the future, I’ll revisit origami, this time prioritizing patience and relaxation.
