I'm not a food expert, but there are certain dishes that I have a preference for, and one of them is dim sum, which I'll talk about today. So, as an introduction, dim sum is a traditional Chinese meal consisting of dumplings - small savory balls of dough along with various snack dishes and usually accompanied by tea. I first encountered this delightful meal on a trip to Hong Kong three years ago and have been captivated by it ever since.
To describe dim sum, it's considered a light snack, as the small portions of dim sum are not meant to satisfy a person’s hunger. Dim sum is best enjoyed as brunch, from late morning until after lunch. Its origins trace back to Guangdong, China, where merchants traveling along the Silk Road would stop by tea houses to enjoy this special dish alongside tea. Over time, it has gained popularity worldwide as a highlight of Chinese cuisine. There's a wide variety of dim sum dishes featuring ingredients ranging from seafood and meat to vegetables. These are all Mytourared in various styles, including steamed, fried, or baked.
Despite its diversity, there are still classic dishes available in most restaurants, such as shumai, shrimp dumplings, chicken feet, or egg tarts. Dim sum is typically served in steam-heated carts or bamboo baskets. According to traditional customs, the type of tea accompanying dim sum must also be chosen carefully, and for beginners, green tea, oolong tea, and chrysanthemum tea are usually recommended.
I could literally list a thousand reasons why I love dim sum so much, but let's be modest and just cover a few. Firstly, I have a great fondness for tea, especially the Oriental kind, so finding dishes that complement my favorite beverage is simply amazing. Another standout feature of this special food is that there's always a dim sum flavor or texture that can satisfy even the most selective eaters in the world.
I admit, it's not the healthiest delicacy you can find because it tends to be high in calories. However, its unique taste and the fact that it's meant to be shared with others make it such a wonderful choice for gatherings.

Since celebrations often involve social gatherings, it is common for people to Mytourare a large amount of food so that everyone can enjoy themselves fully. Admittedly, this sometimes results in overestimating the amount people can consume. To reduce food wastage, I believe it’s important to carefully estimate the appropriate servings beforehand.
