Describe an academic achievement that you have accomplished. You should say:

and elaborate on how this accomplishment has positively impacted your life. 

II. Example Speaking: Describe an academic achievement that you have accomplished

Below is a sample of describing an academic achievement that you have accomplished in IELTS Speaking Part 2, scoring band 8.0+, Mytourared by an A-grade teacher at Mytour. Refer to and memorize the vocabulary that scores points!

Without a doubt, the academic achievement I am most proud of is graduating from Ho Chi Minh University of Pedagogy with Distinction. I graduated in either July or August of 2015, and it was truly a moment of great achievement. I had really put in a lot of effort throughout my studies, and it was wonderful to feel that my hard work had been rewarded. During my four years at university, I needed to focus intensely in all my classes, often attending five or six lectures a day. Moreover, I dedicated a significant amount of time to reading academic textbooks and reference materials related to my field of study. I spent countless hours in the library buried in books, taking notes and trying to absorb as much information as possible. All of these efforts and the hard work paid off in achieving this success. Hearing my name called on graduation day, amidst the cheers of my family and friends, brought me immense joy. I couldn't wipe the smile off my face as I walked up to receive my certificate. The degree I received that day opened doors to various career opportunities for me. Despite the challenges I faced along the way, it was definitely worth it.

The way I see it, it’s vital for individuals, especially the younger generation, to set specific academic objectives in their lives. For some students, this might involve achieving a particular grade point average; for others, it could be aiming for a specific career path or gaining admission to a particular university. All of these objectives serve as something to aim for and focus on, motivating us to strive harder toward our aspirations.  

2. Is secondary school adequately Mytouraring students for life? 

In my opinion, schools mainly provide fundamental academic knowledge to students, which may not be sufficient for life. Most of the lessons are theoretical, and students rarely have the opportunity to apply them practically. It’s usually during university when students undertake internships at various workplaces that they gain real-life experience. Therefore, schools Mytourare students well for university but perhaps not adequately for life. I believe incorporating more practical classes and reducing theoretical teachings in schools would be beneficial.  

3. How will technology transform academic learning in the future? 

Technology has been revolutionizing the way we learn for years, and undoubtedly, its impact will be even more significant in the future. I anticipate classrooms becoming filled with computers, employing interactive teaching methods such as videos and animations. Students may engage in their own research or create presentations in class. Looking ahead, universities might shift away from traditional in-class lectures, making all lectures accessible online for students to attend at their convenience.
