Do you handwrite?
Not much anymore. Nowadays, I find myself typing extensively on computers and texting on my phone, so I hardly use paper and pen anymore. However, I still need to make notes in class when laptops aren't allowed, and I find that inconvenient.
Do you think handwriting will be obsolete in the future?
You know, in this era, modern technology has greatly reduced the use of handwriting. People don't write as much as they used to. Nevertheless, I believe handwriting could be beneficial on certain occasions. For instance, it's respectful to handwrite a wedding invitation for your guests.
Is it still essential to teach children how to write by hand?
Absolutely. I believe it’s extremely important to teach young children proper handwriting. Because practicing handwriting really benefits their mental development. For instance, my younger brother, who has excellent handwriting, is a truly smart kid.
What impact can handwriting have on others?
Well, in Vietnam, there’s a belief that handwriting can reveal a lot about someone’s personality. For example, clear handwriting often comes from a kind-hearted person. Conversely, if your handwriting is illegible, it might create a negative impression. And I think this is an outdated way of thinking.
