1. Are you fond of mathematics?

Although I don’t have a bent for math, I still enjoy the subject immensely. I think it is really important to teach Math to all students because it is applicable in a lot of fields.

2. When did you commence learning math? 

I took my first Math lessons in simple arithmetic at around the age of six. It is compulsory in my country to teach all students Math when they join grade school.

3. Do you study mathematics in secondary schools/ high schools?

Yes, absolutely, but I found that mathematics in secondary school and high school was much more challenging compared to what I learned in elementary school. It could be said that I wasn't particularly skilled at mathematics. 

4. What can teachers do to make mathematics more engaging for students?

I think an exercise that a teacher can assign to students to make math more relatable thereby making it more interesting is trying to relate real life problems that they can apply their mathematical knowledge to solve. That is the best way to capture the student’s attention in my opinion.

5. Did you study math?

Yes, I studied mathematics as part of my education. It was a fundamental subject during my school years, and I also took some mathematics courses in college. While I may not be a math expert, I have a basic understanding of mathematical concepts and their practical applications.

6. Do you utilize a calculator?

Indeed, I do! I frequently make use of the calculator on my phone when I go grocery shopping. It helps me keep a close eye on my expenses to ensure that I stay within my budget.

7. Is learning math difficult for you?

Mathematics can present challenges for some individuals, and I have certainly encountered difficulties with it at times. However, I believe that with consistent practice and a solid foundation, it becomes more manageable. It's all about grasping the concepts and practicing regularly to improve one's math skills. So, while it may have been tough, I've found ways to make it more accessible over time.
