I - Ý nghĩa của các cụm từ in order to và so as to

In order to và so as to mang nghĩa là “nhằm mục đích, để mà”, được sử dụng trong câu để chỉ rõ mục tiêu của hành động được nhắc đến ngay trước đó.

Ví dụ:

I study English in order to communicate with my English-speaking friend. (Tôi học tiếng Anh để có thể giao tiếp với người bạn nói tiếng Anh.)

She works hard so as to achieve a better standard of living in the future. (Cô ấy làm việc chăm chỉ để có một cuộc sống tốt hơn trong tương lai.)

LƯU Ý:

- I will = I'll

- They will = They'll

- Example:

- I will assist her with looking after her kids tomorrow morning. (Tôi sẽ hỗ trợ cô ấy trong việc chăm sóc bọn trẻ vào sáng mai.)

- She will soon deliver a cup of tea to you. (Cô ấy sẽ sớm mang đến cho bạn một tách trà.)

2. Negative Form:

S + will not + V(infinitive)

To form the negative in the simple future tense, just insert 'not' right after 'will'.

NOTE:

- will not = won’t

Example:

- I won’t disclose the truth to her. (Tôi sẽ không tiết lộ sự thật với cô ấy.)

- They won’t be staying at the hotel. (Họ sẽ không lưu lại khách sạn.)

3. Interrogative Form:

Will + S + V (bare infinitive)

Responses: Yes, S + will./ No, S + won’t.

To form a question in the simple future tense, just place “will” before the subject.

Example:

- Will you be here tomorrow? (Bạn sẽ có mặt ở đây vào ngày mai chứ?)

Yes, I will./ No, I won’t.

- Will they agree to your proposal? (Họ có chấp nhận đề xuất của bạn không?)

How to use the simple future tense

1. Expresses a sudden decision or spontaneous intention made at the moment of speaking.

Example:

- Are you heading to the supermarket now? I'll join you. (Bạn đang đến siêu thị à? Tôi sẽ đi cùng bạn.)

The decision to go to the supermarket is made spontaneously upon seeing someone else going there.

- I will return home to get the document I forgot. (Tôi sẽ trở về nhà để lấy tài liệu tôi quên.)

This also represents a spontaneous decision made at the moment of speaking.

2. Expresses an unfounded prediction.

Example:

- I believe she will attend the party. (Tôi nghĩ rằng cô ấy sẽ tham dự bữa tiệc.)

This is a subjective guess without evidence, so we use the simple future tense to express it.

- She thinks that she will find a better job. (Cô ấy nghĩ rằng cô ấy sẽ tìm được một công việc tốt hơn.)

3. Used to express a promise, request, or offer.

Example:

- I vow to tell you the truth. (Tôi thề rằng tôi sẽ nói với bạn sự thật.)

This is a promise, hence the simple future tense is used to express it.

- Could you possibly bring me a cup of coffee? (Bạn có thể làm ơn mang cho tôi một cốc cà phê không?)

This is a request, so the simple future tense is also used here.

4. Applied in first conditional sentences, depicting a possible situation in the present or future.

Example:

- If she arrives, I will join her. (Nếu cô ấy đến, tôi sẽ đi cùng cô ấy.)
