1.1. So sánh hơn và so sánh hơn nhất
- So sánh hơn:
+ Tính từ ngắn: thêm hậu tố -er
Ví dụ: tall (cao) - taller (cao hơn), big (lớn) - bigger (lớn hơn)
+ Tính từ dài: đặt 'more' trước tính từ
Ví dụ: beautiful (đẹp) - more beautiful (đẹp hơn), expensive (đắt) - more expensive (đắt hơn)
- So sánh nhất:
+ Tính từ ngắn: thêm 'the -est'
Ví dụ: tall (cao) - the tallest (cao nhất); big (lớn) - the biggest (lớn nhất)
+ Tính từ dài: thêm 'the most' trước tính từ
Ví dụ: beautiful (đẹp) - the most beautiful (đẹp nhất), expensive (đắt) - the most expensive (đắt nhất)
Lưu ý:
+ Một số tính từ có dạng so sánh không theo quy tắc: good - better - the best, bad - worse - the worst, far - further/ farther - the furthest/ farthest.
+ Có thể sử dụng so sánh hơn với 'than' để so sánh hai đối tượng (Ví dụ: My shirt is bigger than yours.)
+ Có thể sử dụng so sánh nhất với 'the' để so sánh một đối tượng với tất cả các đối tượng khác (Ví dụ: This is the most beautiful dress I have ever seen.)
1.2. Cấu trúc câu hỏi
- Wh-word + auxiliary verb + S + V + O?
+ Ví dụ: What are you wearing? (Bạn đang mặc gì?)
+ Lưu ý: wh-word (what, where, when, who, why, how); auxiliary verb (be, do, have, can, could, must, should, will, would)
- Câu hỏi Yes/ No?
+ Ví dụ: Are you wearing a jacket? (Bạn có đang mặc áo khoác không?)
1.3. Cấu trúc câu cảm thán
- What + a/an + adj + N
Ví dụ: What a stunning dress! (Chiếc váy thật tuyệt vời!)
- How + adj/ adv + S + V
Ví dụ: How lovely she looks! (Cô ấy trông thật xinh đẹp!)
1.4. Một số cấu trúc câu phổ biến
- S + V + attire
Ví dụ: She is dressed in a shirt and jeans. (Cô ấy đang mặc áo sơ mi và quần jean.)
- S + V + a + descriptive + N
Ví dụ: She is adorned in a lovely dress. (Cô ấy đang mặc một chiếc váy xinh xắn.)
- S + V + resemble + N
