Vietnam’s Youngest Artisan
Nguyen Tran Hiep, hailing from the northern province of Bac Ninh, has become Vietnam’s youngest artist at the age of 37. Last month, we visited Doi Tam, a village renowned for its drum-making expertise, in Ha Nam Province. This craft was brought to the village in the 8th or 9th century. Currently, there are over six hundred drum makers residing in Doi Tam.
