The illustration depicts the evolution of horses over the past 40 million years, focusing on changes in their foot structure. Overall, as the animals grew larger with longer limbs, their toes gradually disappeared, eventually replaced by a single hoof.
The Eohippus, existing approximately 40 million years ago, was the predecessor of modern horses. It was much smaller, standing at about one-fourth the size of today's horses. Its legs and tail were relatively short, and each foot had distinctly four toes. Around 10 million years later, the Eohippus evolved into the slightly larger and taller Mesohippus. One toe was lost from the foot, and the middle toe enlarged, forming a more symmetrical structure. Notably, the Mesohippus began to develop what would eventually become the horse's mane.
Around 15 million years ago, the Merychippus emerged. This prehistoric horse resembled modern horses but was about half their size. Its foot still had three toes, with the middle one larger and more prominent towards the front. The mane had also become more defined. Today's horses have evolved further, with all toes reduced to a single hoof. They are taller, with longer limbs, a more distinct tail, and a well-defined mane along the neck.

To finalize the process, small ventilation holes are poked into the walls and roof of the shelter.

The diagram illustrates the process of cargo handling within a harbor. It is evident that two types of cranes, namely the quay crane and the RMG crane, play crucial roles in managing goods.

The diagram illustrates the internal mechanism of a hot air balloon. It can be deduced that the functioning of the hot air balloon depends on the principle where hot air rises upwards while cooler air descends.
The balloon itself is called the “envelope”, constructed by stitching together vertical sections known as “gores”, each comprised of smaller horizontal panels. Positioned at the top of the balloon is a flap called the parachute valve; during flight, this valve regulates the release of excess hot air and seals itself when retention of hot air is necessary. Meanwhile, the base of the balloon, referred to as the “skirt”, is tethered to the basket – the area where passengers stand – using several sturdy ropes. The basket's critical components include a propane cylinder and burner, responsible for providing the ignition that enables flight.
To ascend, the burner mixes propane from the cylinder with air to generate a flame and produce hot air. As the temperature inside the balloon rises, the less dense hot air moves upward.

Initially, coffee beans are meticulously sorted by hand and then undergo a sieving process to remove impurities. Subsequently, these beans are sun-dried for a continuous period of four weeks. Once completely dried, the beans are carefully turned and raked before being stored in tall silos.
In the following phase, the coffee beans are transported to a mill via large trucks, where workers hull them. Next, the beans go through a grading process using sizing screens before being ready for bagging. These beans are then packed into separate bags and sold to coffee merchants. Finally, the beans undergo roasting before being packed and sold to end consumers.

Initially, sugar cane is grown in fields for a period ranging from 12 to 18 months until it is ready for harvest, either manually or by using a harvester. Subsequently, it is crushed in a crushing machine to extract sugar cane juice, which is then passed through a limestone filter. This step ensures the purification of the juice and the removal of any residues.
After filtration, the juice is heated in an evaporator to condense it into a syrupy substance. Once the evaporation process is complete, sugar crystals are separated from the syrup by spinning the liquid in a centrifuge. The resulting sugar crystals are dried and cooled, awaiting further processing.

Đề bài: 'The diagram shows how an LED (light emitting diode) flashlight operates. Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant'.

The diagram illustrates the inner workings of an LED flashlight. From the illustration, it can be inferred that the device utilizes an electrical circuit, with batteries and a switch as its key components.
At the bottom of the flashlight is a metal spring, connected to the batteries’ positive end. The negative end of the batteries contacts the LED bulb, completing one side of the circuit. To complete the circuit, a switch on the flashlight’s handle connects the LED bulb and the spring via electrical wiring. Externally, the device is enclosed in a plastic casing for insulation.
The flashlight illuminates only when the switch is on and the batteries are correctly inserted, allowing electricity to flow from negative to positive terminals. To turn off the flashlight, the user slides the switch away from the LED, breaking the connection between the switch’s contacts and the LED.
