The latest CDC study reveals that the Delta variant of the SARS-CoV-2 virus produces an equivalent amount of virus in both vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals against COVID-19.
High viral loads in vaccinated individuals who still contract the disease indicate that unlike other variants, the Delta variant poses a higher transmission risk. This raises concerns that vaccinated individuals infected with the Delta variant can still spread the disease to others. According to experts, vaccination helps reduce the risk of COVID-19 infection and minimizes the risk of severe illness or death if infected. However, if a vaccinated person still contracts the disease, the risk of transmission to others remains high, similar to unvaccinated individuals.Do this, the US health authorities have issued new guidelines for COVID-19 prevention in the country. They recommend that regardless of vaccination status, people should wear masks in both public places and enclosed spaces, especially in areas with a high risk of disease transmission. This is to prevent the spread of the disease to others and minimize the risk of infection from those around you.- Check out more information
