Content displayed on TikTok is filtered based on your current country. If you want to view TikTok videos from international friends, simply adjust your account's country settings.
1. Method 1: Switching Content Language
Switching content language will make TikTok display videos in the language you've selected. This is a common and fairly effective method if you no longer wish to see TikTok content from Vietnam.
Step 1: Open the TikTok app, select Profile located at the bottom right of the screen.
Step 2: Tap the 3 horizontal lines icon at the top right, select Settings and Privacy.
Step 3: Open Content options >> Add language in settings.
Step 4: Select a language you desire, it could be English, French, or Chinese,... Then tap Done at the top right corner.
When the language is added to content options, you'll see more videos in this language.
>> To add another language, tap Add language.
2. Method 2: Changing app language
Changing the app language will also affect the content you see on TikTok. Here's how to do it:
Step 1: Open the Facebook app, select Profile (bottom right).
Step 2: Go to Settings and Privacy >> App Language.
Step 3: Select the language you want for the app >> Done.
As a result, TikTok on your phone will have a completely new language interface, and you'll see more foreign language content.
3. Method 3: Using VPN
Using VPN is a relatively effective method if you want to change the video content on TikTok. VPN will make the app think you're in a different country and display videos based on that country.
Step 1: Download the AdGuard VPN app from the AppStore or Google Play Store.
Step 2: If you're opening the app for the first time, tap Agree & Continue. Then sign in to AdGuard with an account you already have like Apple, Google, or Facebook. Using an AdGuard account is even better.
Step 3: If you're not interested in receiving news and upgrading features from AdGuard, choose No, thanks or tap the X button.
Step 4: Before connecting to the VPN, tap on the region selection section. Choose the region/country you desire.
The lower the ping (ms) value of a region, the faster the connection.
You can only connect to certain regions, if you want to unlock all, you'll need to upgrade to a premium account.
Step 5: When prompted to add a new VPN configuration, Allow.
Step 6: Once the VPN is connected, you'll see the homepage displaying Connected. If you want to turn off the VPN, tap Disconnect.
