CHUẨN BỊ TINH THẦN
- Starting my cycling routine in September 2022, riding twice a week, covering 8~12km each time.
- Continuing through October with some longer rides: 24km, 76km, 88km.
- At the end of October, embarking on a 2-day, 210km journey from Saigon to Binh Duong.
- Adjusting the cycling frequency afterward to twice a week, with distances ranging from 20~30km each time, leading up to this Vung Tau trip.
GEAR
- A compact, lightweight bike with adjustable gears (transmission level) - crucial for tackling various terrains like gravel roads, sand, slopes, high bridges, etc. A single-speed bike would be exhausting on long journeys.
- Handheld pump, spare inner tubes, and a portable repair kit - equally crucial. My road bike has small wheels, so if the road gets rough, it's not ideal. Better to be prepared for unexpected situations.
- Sony ZV1 camera + chest harness.
EXPEDITION
- Duration: 3 days, 2 nights - 300km.
- Route: Tây Ninh > Sài Gòn > Cần Giờ > Vũng Tàu & return via the old route.
- Originally planned to take the national highway through Long Thành, but changed my mind due to foot pain.
