The failure at Worlds 2022 has prompted Chovy to make significant changes to his gameplay style.
Before the 2022 Worlds Finals, Gen.G was the most anticipated LCK representative, having defeated T1 3-0 in the LCK Summer Finals. However, they couldn't clinch the prestigious Worlds title. They were eliminated in the Semifinals after losing to a formidable DRX. Chovy, Gen.G's Mid Laner, underperformed in that crucial match, hindering Gen.G's progress.

This setback seems to have had a profound impact on Chovy's approach to League of Legends (LoL). In a recent interview, Chovy disclosed that he has undergone significant changes recently with the aim of achieving greater success in the 2023 season.
'We've achieved a lot this year, especially winning the LCK Summer Split. However, my performance at Worlds 2022 left me feeling far from happy. After that failure, I realized that metrics like KDA, CS, or personal records are not essential. I've learned to overlook those stats to succeed in the upcoming season,' Chovy shared.

Despite being considered a favorite, Gen.G fell short at Worlds 2022, prompting Chovy to reassess his approach to the game. Now, he's determined to make the necessary changes to achieve success in the 2023 season.

In the 2023 season, Gen.G remains a top contender for the LCK championship alongside T1, DWG KIA, and the emerging team - Hanwha Life Esports. Hopefully, Chovy will demonstrate positive changes in his gameplay and help Gen.G secure numerous titles in the challenging 2023 season.
