“Writing well doesn't guarantee good content” is something I realized later - after being slapped in the face by the harsh truth of the profession, by a series of issues like: Writing sentimentally, writing too much self-help, having weak sentence structures,... and many other issues. I think many young people who are new to writing encounter the same problems I mentioned. Therefore, this article of mine is very simple - it's a first-hand article - it's an article that helps you prepare better in terms of mindset and skills before becoming a Content Creator on Tiktok platform.
1. Understand Your Audience
Whether your content wins on the platform depends a lot on this. There's a significant difference when you write Tiktok content compared to content on Youtube, Spiderum, or Vietcetera. I didn't realize this. For me, content was just writing, anything would do. This mindset led to a situation where during my first 3 days of apprenticeship, the editor-in-chief slashed all my editing work. She said:

I realized I was wasting both my time and the viewers' time with vague content
2. Think: “How many people are facing this problem”
The ideation phase is perhaps the most difficult for all Content Creators. Of course, it was the same for me. I was working with extremely low efficiency: editing 2 pieces per day and yet each edit was rejected for either overlapping themes with aired videos or for being vague, poorly written,...
On the third afternoon of my apprenticeship when it was ending as fruitless as the second day, a vague statement from the editor-in-chief ignited something within me. She said:
“You're under pressure to write something that many people will watch but in reality, you can write about anything. You just need to think: Oh, there are me and how many others out there facing the same issue as me. So, you've got a topic to write about”.
After dispersing, I talked to colleagues and was amazed. I described my problem and they said: “Oh, I'm the same”; “Wow, my girlfriend says exactly what you're saying”. Yet normally, I knew nothing about it. I thought I was the only one having a problem with that. Perhaps viewers also need someone to spark their issues and those of the community, right? Since then, whenever I'm stuck with ideas, I engage in conversations to explore insights from everyone around me using the 1-1 interview method “5 whys” (I'll share more details in a later article).
