On iOS 14, aside from Apple's built-in widgets that look pretty decent, but a bit plain for those who love vibrant aesthetics like myself. So, for those who want to customize widgets even more to bring life to their iPhone screens, you can use the Widgetsmith app available on the App Store. I've experimented with it and found a plethora of customization options. Let me share with you how to do it.First, head to the App Store and download Widgetsmith. It only supports iOS 14 and above.
After downloading, launch the app. Below, you'll find 3 tabs: Widget, Tools, and Settings. Focus on the first 2 tabs. In the Widget tab, select from 3 sizes: Small, Medium, and Large. To create a new one, click on Add (Size) Widget. Alternatively, customize existing widgets by tapping on them.Explore the world of ToolsNote that during the widget creation process, the app may request certain access permissions. Just hit Allow to proceed, folks.
Here, I click on Medium #1 widget for customization. In this section, you'll find options to rename the widget. It's advisable to change it for easy recall; I named mine Green Calendar.
Next, click on the middle widget to access category selection. There are various categories to choose from with different available colors. Be mindful that some may require a subscription to use.In addition, there are various tags to customize the widget interface such as Font, Tint Color, and Background Color.
Preferring the color green, I opted for Dark Green in the Background Color. Please note, after selecting, press the Back arrow to return as there is no OK button. Then, press Save.

Select the recently crafted widget. COMPLETED.
This is the process to fashion a personalized widget. You can also design various widgets with different colors and then place them on the Home screen. Doesn't it look much better than the default iOS widgets? 😁
Sharing an awesome app for customizing beautiful widgets, wish you all a joyful experience! :)
