Adobe Photoshop software is capable of performing a multitude of tasks, including background blurring and background removal. In this article, Software Tricks will provide guidance on how to create a background blur using Photoshop.
Step 1: Firstly, select the Quick Selection Tool (W) to create a selection area to separate the subject from the background.
Step 2: Proceed to make a selection around the subject, ensuring that the selection covers the subject completely and leaves no excess at the background edges.
If you happen to extend your selection beyond the background edges, you can use the Subtract Pen (-) from the toolbar to erase the excess selection.
Step 3: Once you've completed creating the selection area, Right-click within the selection and choose Select Inverse to reverse the selection.
Step 4: Next, select Filter -> Blur -> Box Blur... to apply a blurring effect to the background.
Step 5: In the settings box of Box Blur, you can adjust the Radius to increase/decrease the blurring effect. However, avoid excessive increments as it may result in an unrealistic image. Typically, set the Radius between 5 to 9 pixels.
In the end, you'll achieve results like this, and now all you need to do is press Ctrl + S to save.
