In the following guide, Mytour will share with you how to create a Windows 10 user account and how to delete a user account if you no longer wish to use it. However, please note that the method for creating a Windows 10 user account varies significantly across different versions of Windows 10, which you should pay attention to.
Guide to Creating and Deleting User Accounts in Windows 10

Create a user in Windows 10
Step 1: On your desktop, open the Start Menu > Settings
Step 2: Select Accounts

Select Other users -> Add a user
Step 4:
Enter Email (To use as access account, Note: Email is currently in use). Then, select Next

Notification of successful creation of User account. Select Finish

Back to the PC settings interface, you will see the account name (Which is the Email you entered). Here, select Edit

You will have 3 options to set up for the newly created user account:
Administrator: Administrator - Has the authority to modify all information and settings within the system ...
Standard User: Regular account - Does not have the authority to modify any important system information
Child: Child account - Temporary user, not allowed to install or modify anything within the system
Select OK to apply the settings
Step 8:
Delete User in Windows 10
In the PC settings interface, you will see a list of account names. Here, hover over the desired account and select Remove. This will delete the account from the system.

Create User in Win 10, create a new user account on Windows 10
This guide on creating a Windows 10 account can be applied to both existing and new Windows 10 users.
Method 1: Create a Windows 10 account, set up Win 10 user through Settings.
Step 1: Access Settings on Windows 10, for new users, you can use various methods to access Settings on Windows 10 as shared by Mytour in the previous article. The fastest way is to use the Windows + I shortcut to access Settings.
Step 2: Access the Account section in Settings.
Step 3: Here, click on the Family & other user section to access the email and user account settings folder. Scroll down to the Other users section. This is where you can add another Windows 10 user account to log in to the computer.
Click on the Add someone else to this PC section to add another Windows 10 user account.
Step 4: Enter the email address to log in to the user account if you have a Microsoft Outlook account. Then, press Next.
Attention: If you don't have a Microsoft account, select I don’t have this person’s sign-in information. This option allows you to create a user account without needing a Microsoft account. This is also known as a Local account (a user account on the device).
Step 5: In this article, Mytour presents the method to create a user, creating a Windows 10 user account using a Microsoft account. Enter the required information in the fields below:
- First name: given name
- Last name: surname
- [email protected]: your email address. It doesn't have to be a Microsoft Outlook account; you can sign in with your Gmail account instead.
- Password: the password for your email address
Finally, select your country and click Next.
If you have another phone number or email, enter it here to recover your Microsoft account password in case it's lost.
Agree to Microsoft's user terms and successfully create a user account on Windows 10.

Method 2: Creating a Windows 10 account, creating a new Windows 10 user using User Account
Step 1: Access User Account on Windows 10 by navigating to Control Panel > User Account > Change Account type.
Navigate to Control Panel on Windows 10 > select User Account then directly click on Change Account type.
Alternatively, the quickest way to access the page for setting up, creating a Windows 10 account, and creating a new Win 10 user is by clicking Start Menu > typing User and clicking on the search result.
In the User Accounts feature, select Manage Other Account, then click on Add a new user in PC settings as described above.
Step 3: The system will automatically take you to the Family & other user feature on Windows 10. Here, follow the steps as guided by Mytour in Method 1.
Delete a user account on Windows 10
Step 1: Access Settings on Windows 10 just like how you did in the process of creating a user account on Windows 10.
Step 2: Navigate to Accounts > Family & other user > Other user
Step 3: Click on the newly created user account on Windows 10.
Here you'll see two options: Change account type and Remove. Click on Remove to delete the user account.
The system will ask for user confirmation before deleting. After deletion, all data associated with this user, including downloaded files, folders, images, and music on the computer, will be permanently removed. Therefore, please consider carefully. Click Delete account and data to delete the Win 10 user account.
