Sony Xperia XA2 and XA2 Ultra were introduced in January, and recently, the Japanese manufacturer launched the Xperia XA2 Plus into the mid-range smartphone market with a focus on photography.
The XA2 Plus is the first device in the XA2 series to feature an 18:9 aspect ratio, offering a 6-inch screen with Full HD+ resolution and excellent scratch resistance with Gorilla Glass 5.

Powered by the Snapdragon 630 chip, an octa-core CPU running at 2.2 GHz with the Adreno 508 GPU, the XA2 Plus offers a choice of 4GB or 6GB RAM, coupled with internal storage options of 32/64GB. Additionally, it supports external memory cards for expanded storage.
The 23MP main camera on the XA2 Plus features an Exmor RS sensor sized 1/2.3”, with an 84-degree wide angle and an f/2.0 aperture. It also supports ISO up to 12800 and can record high-quality 4K video, as well as slow-motion video at 120 frames per second.
Camera front 8MP supported by wide 1/4” Exmor R sensor, 120-degree angle, and f/2.4 aperture. This camera is integrated with various modern features including background blur, skin beautification, and other photo editing effects.
Sony XA2 Plus has dimensions of 157 x 75 x 9.6 mm and weighs 205 grams – quite heavy compared to the current average smartphone weight. The design of XA2 Plus is named OmniPresence – a sporty design style introduced by the company earlier this year. Therefore, XA2 Plus looks more modern and luxurious with its metal back.
The device also possesses a larger battery with a capacity of 3580 mAh and supports Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging. Sony XA2 still retains the 3.5mm headphone jack to meet the music listening needs of users.
Sony Xperia Plus comes in 4 colors: black, silver, gold, and green – catering to the diverse preferences of users. The official price and release date have not been officially announced yet.
