ExpertBook B9 OLED's surfaces A, C, and D are crafted from magnesium-lithium alloy using the thixomolding method. This casting technique involves heating and cutting magnesium until it becomes a homogeneous powder-like form, then pumping it into a mold to create a laminar flow similar to plastic injection molding. This technique results in all three surfaces of the ExpertBook B9 OLED being lighter, more durable, and exuding a premium appearance.

The new cooling system of ExpertBook B9 OLED includes 2 cooling fans with a smart dust cleaning feature. Compared to the previous generation, the B9403CVA delivers higher performance while remaining cooler and quieter during operation. The intelligent dust cleaning mechanism reverses the fan rotation every time the laptop is turned on or off, effectively eliminating accumulated dust.

In addition to the Kensington physical lock, ASUS equips the ExpertBook B9 OLED with AdaptiveLock. The laptop utilizes a camera and proximity sensor to detect when the owner is away or in front of the laptop, then uses facial recognition for quick unlocking. If no user is detected, the screen gradually dims, and after a certain period, the laptop automatically locks.
