1. What is the climate like in your area?
I would describe the climate in my area as moderately pleasant. Perhaps I've been here long enough to make such a statement. Being situated in Vietnam, a tropical region, our winters are relatively mild compared to those experienced in temperate climates, yet the summer months, particularly from June to August, can be quite sweltering.
Vocabulary used in the sample answer for the Weather Speaking Part 1:
-
- relatively (adj): khá là
- pleasant (noun): dễ chịu
- tropical (adj): nhiệt đới
- temperate (adj): ôn đới
- boiling hot (adj): nóng chảy mỡ
2. Which do you prefer, cold or hot weather?
I have a preference for colder climates over warmer ones because I enjoy layering clothing. I find it easier to style outfits when the temperature ranges between 15 to 25 degrees Celsius. In hot weather, especially when there's high humidity, I tend to sweat excessively, which makes me quite self-aware about body odor and similar concerns.

-
- humidity (noun): độ ẩm
- sweat (verb): toát mồ hôi
- profusely (adv): đầm đìa
- conscious (adj): để ý đến thứ gì đó
3. Do you prefer arid or moist weather?
Undoubtedly, dry weather. Who enjoys commuting to school or work on rainy days? I find myself particularly irritable when it's bitingly cold and damp outside. All I want to do is huddle under the covers at home and do nothing. When it's bright and sunny, I can't help but extol its virtues.
Vocabulary employed in the exemplar response for the Weather Speaking Part 1:
-
- freezingly cold (noun): rét căm căm
4. Do you frequently monitor weather predictions?
Nearly every day, practically speaking, as a seven-day forecast holds only a 70% accuracy rate. I need to be adequately Mytourared for what I will wear and what activities I will engage in for the day.
