Bài mẫu đề tài Singing IELTS Speaking part 1
1. Do you sing frequently?
Certainly! I sing almost every day because I have a passion for it. I would say it's one of my favorite things to do in life.
2. When do you enjoy singing?
This is gonna sound embarrassing but I do most of my singing when I’m taking a shower. Since my bathroom is soundproof, I can sing to my heart’s content when I’m in there.
- Soundproof (adj): cách âm
3. Is it challenging to sing well?
I believe singing well requires a special talent. It's quite difficult to consistently hit the right notes or maintain the correct tempo, which may explain why not everyone becomes a professional singer.
4. Would you like to pursue a career in singing?
Although I know I can never be a pop star, at the back of my mind I secretly want to be a singer. Well, I think the reason is I love attention and I want people to applaud me and give me compliments.
- At the back of my mind (expression): trong tâm trí tôi
5. What genres of music do you enjoy singing?
My voice is rather deep so I definitely sound better when I sing slow and romantic ballads. Another genre that I’d love to try is Jazz. I listen to it a lot, but I’ve never sung any Jazz song.
- Deep (adj): trầm (khi miêu tả giọng nói)
6. Whom would you most like to perform for?
Well, the majority of the time, I sing solely for my own enjoyment. The sole exception to this rule is my dear friends, who are remarkably tolerant of my less-than-stellar vocal abilities. During our virtual karaoke nights, they endure my voice, which frequently loses its breath and falters on high notes.
Apart from these instances, I would never dare to sing in public, as it's arguably one of the most embarrassing experiences imaginable.
- Tolerant of: khoan dung
7. Have you received formal singing training?
Indeed, I did receive music instruction throughout my primary and secondary school years. Nevertheless, given the opportunity, I would certainly consider enrolling in another singing class. I’ve been informed that my sense of rhythm was lacking, so I hold out hope that, someday, I’ll shed this tone-deafness and become more proficient at hitting the correct notes.
- Tone-deafness: điếc giọng
8. Do you believe singing can bring joy to people?
Without a doubt, music has a profound impact on our well-being. Even the simple act of humming or whistling has the power to elevate one’s mood. If my memory serves me correctly, there’s a concept of a “feel-good” chemical released in the human brain when we sing, particularly in a group setting.
Music is known to alleviate stress and anxiety. I can hardly fathom a world devoid of music, melody, and harmonious notes it would be a monotonous and frightening existence.
- Feel-good: cám thấy tốt
- Brain: não
- Harmonious: hài hòa
9. Would you consider taking singing lessons in the future?
I would have to say that I’ve never once entertained the idea of taking singing lessons, not even in my most far-fetched dreams. It’s at the bottom of my list of priorities. While this might make me seem like a pessimistic individual to some, from my personal perspective, I consider voice lessons to be somewhat irrelevant to my career.
I prefer to invest my time and resources in activities that directly contribute to my professional advancement, helping me ascend the corporate ladder.
- Far-fetched dreams: giấc mơ xa vời
- Pessimistic: bi quan
- Corporate ladder: thang công ty
