2.1. Topic
Describe a book you want to read again. You should say: What kind of book it is What it is about What sort of people would enjoy it And explain why you want to read it again |
To start the speaking, candidates should introduce basic information about the book they want to read again, including the title, year of publication, genre of the book, etc. Regarding the genre information, candidates should directly introduce whether it is a detective or horror genre, etc. In this section, candidates can summarize in 1-2 sentences.
Next, candidates should succinctly summarize the content of the book in 2-3 sentences and highlight some bright points of the book. Candidates should not delve too deeply into the content of the book, which can make the speech boring and verbose.
Instead, candidates should deduce from the main content which audience the book would be suitable for. For example, today's youth are very fond of romance novels or horror stories, while older people prefer books with more contemplative content.
Finally, candidates need to explain why they want to read the book again.

First off, I should say that I consider myself to be an avid reader. In other words, I’ve read several novels and have thoroughly enjoyed doing so. The Hunger Games, though, was the novel that had the biggest impact on me, and I’d want to tell you about it.
American novelist Suzanne Collins is the author of the young adult dystopian book series The Hunger Games. She is widely considered as one of the world’s most extraordinarily gifted novelists.
The story centers on Katniss Everdeen, a 16-year-old coal miner from a low-income neighborhood, and is set in a dystopian future version of North America. She is chosen at random, along with 23 other kids, to compete in a public death match. They are compelled to slaughter one another brutally until only one is left.
The book quickly became so well-known around the world that it was turned into a hit television show. It was thus no surprise that the movie’s adaption was a huge financial hit when it came out.I absolutely enjoyed getting lost in Collins’ science fiction universe. The acting is flawless and fantastic, as well as the sound effects are excellent. Overall, I think this was one of the most interesting and compelling books I’ve ever read.

2.3. Mẫu 2: Thư gửi các cô gái

Contrary to my nerdy outward look, I have never been a huge reader. I hardly ever read because I don’t really enjoy the act of staying still for hours at a time while gazing at dense pages. There is, however, one book that I genuinely enjoy reading. It is titled “Dear Girls” and was written by none other than Ali Wong, my favorite stand-up comedian.
After watching Ali Wong’s comedy specials “Baby Cobra” and “Hard Knock Wife” on Netflix, I discovered this book last month. Unfortunately, Ali took a break from performing shortly after due to her pregnancy with her second child. While waiting for her return, I decided to read her book. Despite my aversion to reading, I managed to order it, sit down, and spend time reading a 200-page book out of admiration for Ali.
Fortunately, the book meets my expectations. In reality, “Dear Girls” is a thoughtful message to Ali’s daughters when they are older. It is jam-packed with Ali’s life experience and covers anything a girl could possibly need to know. Ali had such a distinct perspective on the world that she freely shared her opinions on marriage, Asian culture, working women, and other topics.
The book was absurdly amusing, unexpectedly emotional, instructive, and, as to be anticipated from Ali, also nasty. I think readers who appreciate the unusual or just want to laugh a lot will find this book to be the most appealing.
Even though I may not have enough time to finish the book, it has certainly enhanced my reading experience beyond any I’ve had before.

Contrary to my bookish appearance, I have never been much of a book reader. I hardly ever read because I'm not particularly fond of sitting still for hours staring at dense pages. However, there is one book that I really enjoy reading. It's titled 'Dear Girls' and it's written by none other than Ali Wong, my favorite stand-up comedian.
Through the success of Ali Wong's two Netflix comedy specials “Baby Cobra” and “Hard Knock Wife,” I became aware of this book last month. Unfortunately, Ali took a few months off stage after performing it because she did so while expecting her second child. I chose to read her book while waiting for her return. Despite my dislike for reading books, I was still able to place an order, sit down, and spend time reading a 200-page book out of love for Ali.
I'm fortunate that the book met my expectations. In fact, “Dear Girls” is a profound message to Ali's daughters as they grow older. It's packed with Ali's life experiences and covers everything a girl might need to know. Ali has a unique perspective on the world to the extent that she comfortably shares her views on marriage, Asian culture, working women, and other topics.
The book is amusingly interesting, emotionally rich, surprisingly instructive, and as predicted by Ali, also annoying. I believe readers who appreciate the unconventional or just want a good laugh will find this book most appealing.
Even though I don't have enough time to finish the book, I think it has enhanced my reading experience more than anything I've ever experienced.
