1. What are the distinctions between painting and drawing?
It is true that producing a painting indicates a higher level of dedication, labor and finesse. Paintings often employ more selective subjects as they were traditionally commissioned by the wealthy, and as such paintings are often afforded more prestige and aim at a more learned audience. Drawings, on the other hand, can be anything from rough sketches done on paper to digital illustrations.. Another possible distinction is probably in the degree of completion, with paintings associated with fully-colored works of art while drawings can take the form of unfinished scribbles.
- finesse: sự sắc sảo, khéo léo
- subjects: chủ thể
- commission: đặt làm riêng
- rough sketches: bản thảo thô
- digital illustrations: tranh minh họa kỹ thuật số
2. Why do certain individuals retain a painting for an extended period of time?
I view paintings as items that appreciate in value over time. This holds especially true for pieces originating from significant historical periods. Consequently, art collectors or dealers actively seek out, acquire, and preserve these works long enough for them to gain value before selling them to affluent buyers. On the demand side, people may keep a painting on their walls for years simply because it holds sentimental value; for instance, a piece created by a family member.
3. How does architectural style impact people’s lives?
Tremendously. And positively, I may add. Having your own style does not only include wearing a particular type of clothes or staying loyal to a certain phone brand, it can also mean finding your own mindset. What I mean is, once you have a firm image of the kind of person you want to become, or more precisely, the qualities or intrinsic values that you uphold, the rest will become coherent. For example, if you see yourself as an environmentally-conscious person, you are more likely to make sustainable purchasing choices, and such behaviors can speak volumes about your identity.. All in all, your mindset is what eventually dictates your style.
