Ever since I was a little girl/boy, my passion for everything beautiful has always been undeniable. Therefore, it's no surprise that I am a big fan of beauty pageants. I believe beauty queens are not only physically stunning but also highly intelligent. Many have used their celebrity status to make a positive impact and inspire others. One such individual is H’Hen Nie, whom I greatly admire. If you know her incredible journey, I'm sure you would too.
H’Hen Nie was born into poverty in Vietnam's central highlands. Consequently, she became accustomed to manual labor at a young age. She spent much of her childhood working on coffee plantations to support her family. As an ethnic minority, she faced numerous challenges, including outdated customs such as early marriage. However, she defied expectations and pursued her education—a life-changing decision that led her on a unique journey.
Despite being a surprise contender throughout the competition, H’Hen Nie was crowned Miss Universe Vietnam in 2017. With her remarkable story and genuine kindness, this distinctive beauty made history as the first Vietnamese contestant to reach the top 5 at Miss Universe. She captured the media's attention and won the hearts of millions of fans worldwide. Overnight, she became an A-lister and began living as a role model for many, particularly those from similar backgrounds.
Since her historic achievement, this 27-year-old beauty queen has consistently given back to her community and inspired others to join her efforts. If I recall correctly, she used most of her prize money to establish a free public library in her hometown, recognizing firsthand the critical role
