Context | The most well known person in my country is, without a doubt, Ho Chi Minh. |
Content | He was the first president of the modern Vietnam and every single person in the country knows about him. Most people here refer to him as “Uncle Ho”, because uncle is a common term of endearment in Vietnamese. He was a very intelligent and well spoken man, who was very knowledgeable about not just Vietnam, but about the wider world as well. He studied in multiple countries and is rumoured to have spoken 7 languages! I have difficulty with two, I can’t imagine trying to remember the grammar rules for 7 different languages. His picture is common to see in schools or offices, and his face is on our money. It would be impossible to live in my country and not be aware of who Uncle Ho is. |
Conclusion | Personally, I respect him very much, he was a strong leader, but also caring and well cultured. He is a good role model for everyone to have and we should all try and learn from the example that he set. |

Mẫu IELTS Speaking Part 3
Những loại người nào được mọi người ưa thích ở nơi làm việc?
I think that the people who are likely to become popular in workplaces are those who can help you take your mind off of work on one hand, as well as help you stay motivated on work on the other. Someone who can tell jokes at the right time to keep everyone’s mood up would be good for workplace morale. But also someone who can get everyone fired up and excited to complete their work.
motivated /ˈməʊtɪveɪtɪd/(a): Có động lực
Ex: She is a highly motivated student.
Morale /məˈrɑːl/ (n): Tinh thần
Ex: Another win would be good for the team’s morale.
Ông chủ có được yêu thích hơn nhân viên ở nơi làm việc không?
I think it would depend a lot on the boss. I have yet to work in a company, so it is difficult to say, but I find it unlikely that bosses are likely to be “popular”. This is because the relationship is different between employees and their bosses versus between employees. At least in my mind, popularity is a concept among peers.
popularity /ˌpɒpjuˈlærəti/(n): Sự phổ biến, ưu chuộng
Ex: The band's growing popularity landed them a US tour.
Peers /pɪə(r)/(n): Những người đồng trang lứa
Ex: Children are worried about failing in front of their peers.
Mối quan hệ tốt với đồng nghiệp hay làm việc hiệu quả là quan trọng hơn?
I think it would be important to sustain a balance between these two things. Of course you do not want a sour relationship with those that you work with every day, but you should also not allow social interactions at work to be an impediment to the quality of work that you are trying to achieve.
sustain /səˈsteɪn/ (v): Duy trì
Ex: She managed to sustain everyone's interest until the end of her speech.
impediment /ɪmˈpedɪmənt/(n): Trở ngại
Ex: The level of inflation is a serious impediment to economic recovery.
Có những lợi ích gì khi một đứa trẻ được mọi người ưa thích ở trường?
The benefits of a child being popular are that they generally have a large net of support when needed. If someone is popular then other people are more likely to go out of their way to help them when they need it. There is also the intrinsic benefit of it boosting their self esteem, though it can often lead to issues of arrogance or overconfidence.
intrinsic /ɪnˈtrɪnzɪk/ (a): nội tại
Ex: These tasks were repetitive, lengthy and lacking any intrinsic interest.
self-esteem /ˌself ɪˈstiːm/ (n): Lòng tự trọng
Ex: You need to build your self-esteem.
arrogance /ˈærəɡəns/ (n): Kiêu căng
Ví dụ: Anh ta nổi tiếng với sự cục bộ và kiêu căng trí tuệ.
