Mẫu bài (Bài viết mẫu)
As a wanderlust enthusiast who has explored various corners throughout Vietnam, I firmly believe that my homeland boasts some of the world's most exceptional tourist attractions. However, many of these places have yet to gain the global recognition they truly deserve. One prime example is Sapa, a mountainous town situated in one of the northernmost provinces of Vietnam. Often referred to as “The Foggy Town”, Sapa is perpetually shrouded in mist due to its high elevation, lending it an otherworldly charm. Despite the increasing commercialization in recent years, much of its landscape remains untouched by human hands. Despite visiting several times, I am continually awestruck by the majestic beauty of the pristine forests and rivers.
Aside from its natural landscapes, cultural richness is another compelling reason to visit Sapa. Dominated by the Hmong ethnic group, one of the largest indigenous communities in the region, tourists have the option to stay in eco-lodges managed by the Hmong themselves and immerse themselves in their culture – from savoring local cuisine to trying on traditional attire. What I find appealing about these activities is their affordability, making it possible to enjoy authentic experiences on a budget. Sapa remains a top contender on my list of must-visit destinations in Vietnam. Whenever someone asks me to “describe a beautiful place you’ve visited,” Sapa is always my first choice. Given the opportunity, foreign visitors should not miss exploring this breathtaking town.

1. Do people in your country enjoy traveling?
Absolutely! During national holidays, popular travel destinations in Vietnam are always teeming with local tourists. Coastal cities like Da Nang or Nha Trang, for instance, undoubtedly offer fantastic opportunities for those seeking a brief respite from their daily routines. Beyond these well-known spots, Vietnam boasts numerous other tourist attractions that remain pristine, motivating many Vietnamese to aspire to explore as many provinces as possible.

2. How has travel changed compared to decades ago?
Arguably, the most significant change lies in the distances people are willing to travel.Decades ago, people tended to stay within their local regions, largely due to limited transportation options and the high costs involved. Today, the situation could not be more different. Advances in the airline industry and more affordable transport costs have made international travel far more accessible and convenient. The growing popularity of international travel can also be attributed to countries’ openness to tourism. Compared to the past, obtaining visas or booking accommodations abroad is generally much more economical.

- Open-door policy (n): chính sách mở cửa
3. When do people typically travel and who do they usually travel with?
I mean, everyone lives a different life. However, most commonly, people opt to travel during major holidays, when they are not burdened by work commitments and can afford to go anywhere for a few days. It's a way for them to relax after working hard for a long time. When it comes to travel companions, friends and family are always popular choices, and for all the right reasons. Most people are so busy with work that they find it difficult to spend time with their loved ones. Traveling together is a great way to find a balance.
- Work obligation (n): nghĩa vụ công việc
- For all the right reasons: vì những lý do chính đáng
- Compromise (v): bù đắp
4. Do you think travel can alter people’s way of thinking?
As someone who studied cultural studies, I couldn't agree more. Traveling is simply the best way to broaden one’s horizons and enhance awareness of the world around us.Certainly, nowadays you can virtually travel through the Internet. However, for me, nothing can replace the experience of fully immersing oneself in a genuine foreign culture. I mean, how can you truly understand a cuisine without tasting the local food? And how can you gain a deeper understanding of a culture without engaging with its people?Once again, what I want to emphasize is that travel has the potential to change your perspective.
- Expand one’s horizon (v): mở rộng hiểu biết
- Gain insight (n): góc nhìn của người trong cuộc
- Worldview (n): thế giới quan
