(Homeland) - Version 12.17 has finally been officially updated on the domestic LMHT server, brimming with excitement.
After a long wait, version 12.17 of League of Legends has finally been updated on the domestic servers. Rated as an exciting version, it brings numerous changes, both minor and major, gearing towards the world championship finals at the end of September. Let's now explore the emergence of 4 new styles! Damage will be abbreviated as DMG.
4. Potent Graves
In this version 12.17, Graves will be empowered in the direction of 'Magician,' sending opponents to the scoreboard in an instant. Specifically, Riot Games, the publisher, has made the following changes:
Q - Penetrating Shot
- Cooldown: 12/11/10/9/8 seconds ⇒ 13/11.5/10/8.5/7 seconds
R - Explosive Bullet
- DMG: 250/400/550 (+150% bonus AD) ⇒ 275/425/575 (+150% bonus AD)
You might not have noticed, but Graves is currently evaluated as slow to power up, with somewhat passive gameplay at the beginning of the match, needing to take many jungle monsters to strengthen over time. Therefore, Riot Games' upgrade for Graves is entirely reasonable. Combined with the weakening control of jungle champions, Graves will have a very bright future at the upcoming world finals.

In this version 12.17, Graves is empowered in the direction of Potency as his Q ability cooldown decreases after level 5, and his ultimate gains an additional 25 DMG. If you build aggressively, Graves won't be much stronger, but if you go for the 'Magician' build, this stat will be maximized. Note that all Potency items have cooldown reduction, so the skill set will be continuously unleashed.
3. Maokai Top Lane Tankiness
Riot Games, the publisher, placed Maokai in the jungle position but he wasn't strong there. However, they adjusted Maokai's stats related to defense. As a result, Maokai suddenly becomes extremely strong in the top lane, so strong that players who have never played Maokai before are achieving positive results. Specifically, Maokai currently boasts a win rate of up to 52.5% and will be weakened by Riot in version 12.18.

Now, Maokai will still struggle in the laning phase but interacts very well with items, getting stronger as the game progresses. We can classify Maokai as a heavy-duty team carrier among the tanky champions because tanky champions tend to lean towards more supportive roles. Maokai is suitable for all mythical items, then add Eternal Frost Armor to transition into a new build. Maokai's difficulty lies only in the early game stage; once you have 2 major items, it becomes much easier to play.

2. Hecarim Offensive Power
In version 12.17, Hecarim has been adjusted towards a Physical Fighter direction instead of tanking. To maximize Hecarim's strength, players need to build with a ratio of 60% attack - 40% defense at this time. 40% defense is for sticking to targets and utilizing the stacking effect of the Q ability, while 60% attack is to enjoy the changes from Riot in version 12.17.

Now, the Q ability stacks up to 3 times, providing a lot of power to players, while the W ability also increases armor and magic resistance, making Hecarim tougher. In exchange for these advantages, the E ability along with Hecarim's ultimate has been reduced in crowd control effects.
Therefore, the item build style for Hecarim in version 12.17 will be Trinity Force/Spear of Shojin, Dancer's Dance, Maw of Malmortius, Guardian Angel. If you are confident in your own strength, Youmuu's Ghostblade will be extremely suitable for sending opponents to the scoreboard in an instant. Remember this aggressive Hecarim playstyle!

1. Miss Fortune Critical Hit
Actually, Miss Fortune in previous versions was not weak at all; this champion builds towards Potency and boasts a win rate of 51-52%, greatly impacting matches. However, the Potency playstyle of Miss Fortune was somewhat excessively safe, lacking significant weaknesses, so Riot Games decided to push her in a new direction.
Riot Games has strengthened her in various aspects. Her Q ability has been enhanced, and the cooldown reduced when building items interacting with attack speed. Additionally, her W ability grants additional attack speed to players to fully utilize their aggressive style.

With just these minor adjustments, Miss Fortune now has over a 53% win rate in version 12.17 with her new style, becoming a top-tier champion. Therefore, Riot will reduce Miss Fortune's power in the upcoming version, so the community should make use of her quickly before it's too late. There's still time for everyone, at least for the next 2 weeks.
