1. What is Lopran?
Lopran is a medication used to treat acute diarrhea, containing Loperamide hydrochloride as its main component. Loperamide is employed to alleviate symptoms in cases of acute diarrhea of unknown origin and some instances of chronic diarrhea. It binds to opioid receptors in the intestine, reducing mucosal irritation and the stimuli causing contraction of the gastrointestinal tract. This is a synthetic opioid that, when taken at normal doses, has minimal effects on the central nervous system.
