Today, I would like to talk about GoodCoffee, a small and cozy coffee shop near my house. It’s hidden in a small alley so it’s not easy to find it. Customers usually order flat white and cold brew drinks which are not offered by most other coffeehouses in Hanoi.
Of course, flat whites are my go-to and it’s the main reason why I go to this café. It’s not as sweet and tasty as Vietnamese traditional coffee but it doesn’t cause insomnia. I love it. However, apart from enjoying the coffee there, I almost always bring along my laptop to mark my students’ essays. The place is rather quiet and cozy, which makes me feel relaxed and calm and helps me with my work.
All in all, it’s my favourite coffee place in Hanoi and if you have time, you should try some drinks there. They’re reasonably priced and in terms of taste, I can’t complain.
Part 3: Coffee

1. What type of individuals prefer going to a café?
I think all sorts of people go to a café frequently. It’s not just about the food and drink but also it’s where people can gather and have a good time. Obviously, children are not their target customers as parents don’t want their kids to consume caffeine.
2. Why do young individuals prefer studying in a café rather than at home?
Most youngsters don’t exactly have a study, at least in Vietnam. Going through tonnes of homework in your bedroom or living room is less than ideal as there are so many distractions. In cafes, they can concentrate on their studies and get things done.
3. Do elderly people enjoy drinking coffee?
I don’t think so. The elderly often have a hard time going to bed and of course, coffee doesn’t help. I guess most of them prefer tea.
4. Do Vietnamese individuals have a fondness for coffee?
We’re crazy about coffee actually. Coffee fanatics can have anywhere between 2 – 3 cups per day while most Vietnamese drink coffee around 3 times a week. It keeps us awake while working at night and it’s also a great excuse to go out and meet friends.
