1. For Double-Sided Printers
When dealing with printers that support double-sided printing, the process of printing on both sides in Word becomes much easier. Just follow the steps below, and you'll have your document printed in no time.
Step 1: Go to File and select Print (or press the shortcut Ctrl + P)
Step 2: In Print, choose your printer first.
Then you can proceed to print as usual, and the printer will automatically handle double-sided printing in Word for each sheet.
2. For Printers Without Double-Sided Support
Step 1: Similar to the previous steps, go to File, select Print, or press Ctrl + P, and then choose your printer.
Step 2: Next, choose Page Setup within Print.
Step 3: For the first print, select Odd Page to print odd-numbered pages like 1, 3, 5, 7, 9,... then click OK to proceed with normal printing.
Step 4: Afterward, flip the paper, select Even Page to print even-numbered pages 2, 4, 6, 8, 10..., and press OK. Finally, click Print to perform double-sided printing in Word.
3. Simple Method for Double-Sided Printing in Excel with Odd and Even Pages
Apart from double-sided printing in Word, here's how to do it in Excel, a handy tip from Mytour for specific scenarios.
Step 1: Start by downloading the Excel add-ins here. This add-in facilitates easy double-sided printing for Excel 2003, 2007, 2010, or 2013.
Step 2: Next, extract the add-ins to any location on your computer.
Step 3: Open the file you want to print double-sided in Excel, then click on Excel Options.
Step 4: In the Add-Ins > Excel Add-ins tab, click the Go button to activate the add-in for double-sided printing in Excel.
Now, click the Browse button to navigate to the path where you extracted the add-ins earlier. After successfully adding, the add-in will appear with the name In2mat. Installing the In2mat add-in enables Excel to automatically detect the double-sided printing feature, allowing users to print on both sides in Excel with just a single mouse click.
Step 5: Use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl-Shift-P to perform double-sided printing in Excel.
Note that when entering the print page, be sure to enter 'all' to print all pages, including both even and odd pages in Excel. Alternatively, enter 'even' to print even pages only and 'odd' to print odd pages. If you want to print by page number, you can input print page 1, page 3 to page 7, page 10,... as desired to print even and odd pages in Excel simultaneously.

After issuing the print command, print odd-numbered pages first, then flip the paper and print even-numbered pages.
