The CES - LX battle could be decided by the shining performances of the jungle duo EGO and Killerqueen.
VCS Winter 2021 is gearing up for the final matches. On December 22nd, the first Semifinal match between CERBERUS Esports and Luxury Esports will take place. With victories over LX in both the first and second rounds of the group stage, fans can fully trust in the ability of the 'Mythical Hounds' to secure a win. Not to mention, every position in the CES lineup is currently in excellent form, such as Artemis, EGO, RonOP...

However, LX has also caused quite a stir, especially in the jungle position with Killerqueen. The newcomer, only participating for the second time in a VCS A tournament, has shown remarkable performance, even surpassing experienced veterans like Levi. In the first round, Killerqueen played a significant role in LX's shocking victory over the formidable GAM Esports - the reigning VCS Spring 2021 champions.

This VCS Winter marks a remarkable improvement for Killerqueen. In the previous Spring Season, he was even benched for Sorn while playing for GMedia Luxury, and only when the former EVOS Esports player left did Killerqueen step into the spotlight. And he has proven himself in the best way possible. Rising from 8th place in the Spring Season, LX defeated even the Runner-up Saigon Buffalo in both rounds and secured other impressive victories, earning a playoff spot even before the group stage concluded. Killerqueen himself has just been awarded the MVP title of the group stage for his outstanding performances.

However, the 'mountain wall' that Killerqueen must overcome is none other than the player nicknamed 'SofM's disciple' - EGO. The former Team Flash player has always been one of the most talented junglers in the VCS region. Unfortunately for EGO, when he and TF claimed the VCS Summer 2020 championship, Vietnam couldn't participate in Worlds due to the pandemic, causing him to miss the chance to face his idol, SofM. Furthermore, EGO missed the Spring 2021 Season due to illness, and many believe this to be one of the main reasons why the 'Mythical Hound' only managed to secure 4th place overall.

Back in Winter 2021, EGO is in excellent form, soaring high alongside CES. In the 2 showdowns against GAM, EGO completely shut down Levi, living up to the title of 'Levi's Nightmare'. EGO's creative playstyle, always harboring potential for innovation and excellent teamwork in terms of observation and covering for teammates, allows Pun, Yado, or Artemis to freely assert dominance in the laning phase, contest objectives, or engage in skirmishes.

It's unfortunate that EGO couldn't secure the MVP title despite being a crucial factor in smoothly operating CES's gameplay. In the upcoming Semifinal match, facing EGO will be Killerqueen - the MVP of the group stage of VCS Winter 2021. Certainly, with the superior lineup quality, CES is likely to emerge victorious as they did in the group stage. However, EGO will undoubtedly aim to showcase his best performance. Demonstrating his worth as one of the top junglers in the current VCS scene alongside Levi while also showing he can truly reach the level of SofM someday.
