To fix rows in Excel, follow these steps:
Method 1: Fixing the First Row Only
Step 1: Open the View tab, select Freeze Panes.
Step 2: Under Freeze Panes, choose Freeze Top Row.
Congratulations! You've successfully locked down the top row in your Excel file. Want to fix more rows? Follow method 2.
Method 2: Fixing Multiple Rows
Step 1: Identify the position of the row you want to freeze.
Select the top cell of the row below the one you want to fix (because all rows above the selected row will also be fixed).
Step 2: Go to the View tab, select Freeze Panes, then choose Freeze Panes again.
