In theory, the Ford Ranger Raptor R model will only debut on the new generation of the Ranger series. Although being developed in Australia, it remains unclear if the Ranger Raptor R with a V-8 engine will make its way to the ASEAN market. One primary reason is that this region lacks the terrain and climate conditions of Australia.
Additionally, the Ford Ranger Raptor R's 5.0L V-8 engine is a petrol version, not the typical diesel engine. So, even the most die-hard Ranger Raptor fans might have concerns about the maintenance cost of a V-8 engine when it comes to fuel consumption.
If the Ford Ranger Raptor R does indeed arrive in ASEAN, there's a high likelihood that Thailand will be the first market to welcome this vehicle.
