No surprises in the BO5 clash between GAM and SE in the SEA Games 31 qualifiers semifinals for League of Legends.
The highly anticipated rematch between GAM Esports and SBTC Esports in the SEA Games 31 League of Legends qualifiers has officially taken place. This clash carries a history of rivalry, especially for GAM's fans and players, seeking redemption against SE, the team that defeated them in the second round of the SEA Games 31 qualifiers back in February.
However, there's no magic left for the 'Pink Roosters.' GAM completely annihilates their long-time rivals in just around 21 minutes in game 1, mirroring their previous victories over SE. The scenario in the third game mirrored the first, with GAM not displaying the same swift destruction. Despite 2T's Baron steal using Book of the Dead, it was all SE could manage. GAM secured a second Baron and the entire match, shattering SE's dreams of SEA Games 31.
With this victory, GAM officially secures a spot in the SEA Games 31 qualifiers final. They will face SGB, aiming for a more significant goal than the VCS Spring 2021 final - representing Vietnam at SEA Games 31 in League of Legends.
For SE, after weeks of soaring high, this defeat grounds the 'Pink Roosters.' However, if SE can extract lessons from this loss, their chances in VCS Spring 2022 remain. Focused on a single goal, SE might yet create more surprises in the future.
