XREAL has been quite successful in producing, developing, and commercializing smart glasses and AR. The XREAL Air 2 is the latest model from the company, with significant upgrades, lighter and slimmer design, and many features that enhance user experience. In today's article, let's take a close look at the appearance and features of this smart glasses.

Similar to when buying eyeglasses, users will receive additional accessories including a protective case, cleaning cloth, 3 nose pads of different sizes, user manual, replacement frame, and glare shield.
Of course, being a smart glasses, it comes with a USB-C charging cable.

Overall, the design of the XREAL Air 2 resembles that of a pair of eyeglasses, it's remarkable how multiple technology components are integrated into a pair of eyeglasses while maintaining the compactness and fashion of an eye protection accessory.

Inside the XREAL Air 2 glasses, there are many technology components to support immersing users into the virtual world, so it's not feasible to expect it to be as thin as regular glasses, but nonetheless, the XREAL Air 2 still exudes a certain fashion and aesthetic appeal.
As you can see in the gentleman below, we completely fail to realize that he is wearing a virtual reality headset right on his face.

The device weighs 75g, heavier than conventional glasses but relatively light for smart glasses. This weight is sufficient to balance between integrating technology components and the feeling when wearing on the face.
We will have overall dimensions of 148mm x 51.4mm x 56.4mm when folded and 148mm x 51.4mm x 161mm when unfolded. The longer length of the glasses helps users feel more comfortable wearing them, suitable for users with larger head sizes.

The front of the XREAL Air 2 looks just like a regular pair of glasses. Upon closer inspection, we can immediately see the display inside the device.

This is the display part of the XREAL Air 2 smart glasses. This lens part is designed in a triangular shape resembling a periscope of a submarine reflecting the displayed image from the body of the glasses to the user's eyes.

Looking up above the lens cushion, we have the wear sensor, which detects when you take off the glasses and put them back on to turn them off and on.

The function buttons such as volume control, power button, and mic are moved to the lower right side of the glasses. On both sides of the glasses, we have two speakers with sufficient power.

On the top of the glasses, there is only a sound vent.

And the last part of the glasses' arms is the USB-C charging port as well as the connection point for XREAL Air 2 with other devices.

The XREAL Air 2 glasses feature a brand new Micro OLED display produced by Sony with a size of 0.55 inches, FullHD resolution, pixel density of 49 PPD (Pixels per degree) for beautiful display content. XREAL Air 2 can achieve brightness up to 500 nits.

The device offers vibrant and impressively saturated colors, standard 8-bit color depth, according to official specifications, the Air 2 glasses have a deltaE 2000 value below 3.

The device can fully connect with , , computer monitors, even drones, generally connecting to many peripheral devices and functioning as a display screen, right in front of us.
