IELTS Writing Task 1
Task 1: The line graph illustrates the acid level in the mouth created by consuming sweet foods and the possibility of tooth decay. |
Example
The presented line graph depicts the acid level in the mouth caused by devouring sweet foods such as sugar and honey, as well as the risk of tooth decay as a result of this acid level.
Overall, the lower the pH value, as seen in the line graph, the greater the acid level, and a pH value less than 5.5 is damaging to the tooth and induces tooth decay.
The chart shows that the initial pH level in the mouth is 7, which typically decreases after consuming sugary foods. When people eat something sweet, such as cane sugar, the pH drops below 3.5 within 5 minutes and remains below this level for more than 30 minutes, posing a risk (below pH 5.5).
Fruit sugar lowers the pH level to almost 4 and keeps it there for approximately 20 minutes, which is dangerous. Finally, when people ingest honey, the pH level drops below 5 and stays there for around 13 minutes, placing the teeth in increased danger. Because a low pH level indicates increased acidity, which leads to tooth decay, cane sugar is the most detrimental to people’s dental health of the three foods discussed.

IELTS Writing Task 2
Task 2: Nowadays food has become easier to prepare. Has this changed improved the way people live? Give reasons for your answer using your own ideas and experience. |
Example
Food has gotten considerably easier to conceptualise and execute in this modern civilisation. As a result, in my opinion, the human lifestyle has been favourably affected in terms of nutrient consumption and financial resources as a result of this transformation.
To begin with, thanks to technology, individuals have a better possibility of addressing diverse culinary methods through online cooking instructions, allowing us to sample a variety of foods from across the world. Mothers, for example, are the ones who opt to cook at home using recipes from cookbooks or the internet. Furthermore, scientists and chefs aid us in comprehending information about edible items, resulting in new ways to cook and garnish meals.
Furthermore, this change improves the human way of life, particularly in terms of money and consumption. Previously, it was thought that delectable cuisine could only be prepared by expert chefs in restaurants, thus the privileged would spend a considerable amount of money sampling such priceless meals. In contrast, because cooking has become one of the most important life skills, people are spending less money on eating out now. Furthermore, knowing what is excellent for the health and body makes it much easier to choose and combine nutrients effectively, resulting in efficient ingestion for individuals. Those nowadays are not only taller, but also stronger, unlike children in past generations.
In summary, food enhances nutritional intake and savings because of its ease of preparation, a consequence of modernity and human comprehension.Lexicon
