1. What are the responsibilities of a father/mother in a family?
It is commonly assumed that the father is the primary earner while the mother manages the home. Traditionally, fathers are seen as stern figures who enforce discipline, while mothers are nurturing and unconditionally protective. However, these gender roles are increasingly outdated. Nowadays, both parents share financial responsibilities, household chores, and actively support their children's school activities.
2. Do men and women have equal abilities and intelligence?
Absolutely, yes. Research has demonstrated that intelligence can be classified into various types such as linguistic, musical, bodily – kinesthetic, interpersonal, or intrapersonal intelligence. This indicates that each person is born with their own abilities or talents, which are unrelated to gender.
3. Is it acceptable for men to cry?
Certainly. This question brings to mind Emma Watson's speech at the UN Conference. In that speech, she stressed that feminism is not solely about women desiring this or that. It embodies gender equality, meaning we must discard harmful stereotypes like 'men don’t cry' or 'men must always be strong.' I believe we should feel free to express ourselves, whether through smiles or tears, regardless of whether we are men, women, or part of the LGBTQ+ community. After all, we are all human and all humans have emotions, don’t they?
4. What activities can both men and women do that the other cannot, and why?
Honestly, I can't think of any. As mentioned earlier, I firmly believe in the equal abilities and intelligence of both genders. There's nothing that men can do that women can't, and vice versa. For instance, we have male and female doctors, police officers, pilots, world leaders, and kindergarten teachers. I don't want to repeat myself, but again, gender plays no role in such matters.
