1. Installing HWMonitor on Your Computer
The process of installing HWMonitor is relatively straightforward as the software is compact, and there aren't too many settings to configure.
Step 1: Download the latest version of HWMonitor software to your device.
Step 2: Open the downloaded HWMonitor setup file, right-click, and select Run as administrator to initiate the installation process.
Step 3: Select Browse... to set the installation directory for HWMonitor on your device, then click Next.

Step 3: To check CPU temperature with HWMonitor, double-click on the [CPU Name] entry of your computer, in this example: Intel Core i3 2100.
Step 4: Navigate to the Temperatures folder and view information in the Package, Core #0, and Core #1 sections. The metrics are divided into 3 columns: Value - current value, Min - minimum value, and Max - maximum value.
- Package: Indicates the overall CPU temperature
- Core #0 and Core #1: Are the two physical cores of the CPU. (If the CPU has 4 cores, software will display additional Core #2, Core #3.)
Thus, you can measure the current CPU temperature using HWMonitor, which is fluctuating at 47 degrees Celsius.
