Download and Install Purple Launcher
First, you need to download and install Purple Launcher. This is a special platform developed by NCsoft to play their games on PC. Visit the official website of Blade & Soul 2 Japanese version
here.
On the homepage, click the Purple download button in the corner.
You will be taken to Purple's dedicated page. Click 'Accept All' for cookies.
On the homepage interface, click the download button and choose the Windows version of Purple.
After downloading, go to the location of the Purple installation file.
Complete the installation process.
Open Purple and select the Japan server (or Taiwan for better ping).
Next, select the game as Blade & Soul 2.
Since you don't have an account, you will be redirected to the browser to log in with your Google account.
Check all the terms of use and click the orange 'Agree' button.
In the information confirmation frame, continue to select all the terms of use and click the orange 'Agree' button.
The registration phase is complete, and you are automatically taken back to Purple Launcher. Enter your date of birth as required. The system checks if you are over 18 to avoid playing under 18.
Press Next to quickly go through the basic instructions of Purple Launcher.
You have completed the Purple Launcher installation process and are ready to download Blade & Soul 2 to play.
Install Blade & Soul 2
The above steps only install the launcher to manage NCsoft's games. From here, you truly enter the game downloading process.
In the main interface of Purple Launcher, select the Blade & Soul 2 game.
In the game's individual interface, click the purple 'Install Game' button.
You will be taken back to the Google Play interface. Click 'Install on Windows' to download the installation file.
Go to the location where you saved the downloaded file to activate the installation.
After installing the client, Purple detects the game's status and begins patching (downloading an additional 17.5GB).
While waiting, click on 'File scan and game settings,' select text and voice to English.
After successfully installing the client and patch, the game will display the 'Start Game' button, and you can begin playing. Note that the first time opening the game may take a bit longer to load.
