1. Guide to Making Delicious, Creamy Vanilla Ice Cream at Home
Have you mastered the art of making delicious, creamy vanilla ice cream yet? If not, don't miss out on the following guide to enjoy this cool treat with your family!

1. Ingredients for Fresh Vanilla Ice Cream
- 300 grams of milk
- 300 grams of heavy cream
- 4 egg yolks
- 1 vanilla bean or 15ml of Vanilla extract for aroma
- 100 grams of white sugar
- 30 grams of chocolate chips (if available)
- Tools for making vanilla ice cream: knife, mixing bowl, egg beater, saucepan, stove, spoon,...
2. How to Make Delicious, Creamy Vanilla Ice Cream from Whipping Cream
Step 1: Prepare the Ingredients
– Vanilla pod: Use a knife to split it in half, scrape out the black seeds inside, and set them aside in a bowl.

– Eggs: Separate 4 egg yolks into a bowl, add 20 grams of sugar, and use an egg beater to beat the mixture until it turns into a creamy yellow color.
Step 2: Prepare the Vanilla Ice Cream
- Put milk, vanilla seeds, and the vanilla pod into a saucepan and bring to a gentle boil over medium heat. When the mixture starts to simmer lightly, turn off the heat and let it cool for about 5 minutes, then stir in the vanilla (the black part) evenly.
- Next, mix the milk mixture with the egg yolks and continue to simmer over medium heat until the mixture thickens. Note that you should not boil it too vigorously, as it will cause the ice cream to clump.

- To continue making vanilla ice cream, prepare a bowl of ice water, place the saucepan with the milk mixture into the bowl to cool quickly. Once the mixture is completely cooled, add the whipping cream and mix well. Transfer the mixture into a cold storage compartment in the refrigerator at 18°C. After 2 hours, remove the ice cream mixture and use an ice cream maker to create enticing batches of vanilla ice cream.
Step 3: Decorating the Vanilla Ice Cream
- When using an ice cream maker, there's no need to freeze the ice cream; it can be used immediately. Use a spoon to scoop 2 – 3 scoops of ice cream into a glass. You can enjoy it with chocolate chips, chocolate sauce, cookies, or fruits.
- If you don't have a home ice cream maker, you can still make vanilla ice cream without using one. In step 3, pour the mixture into a stainless steel mixing bowl instead of putting it into the ice cream maker. Store it in the freezer compartment for about 2 – 3 hours. Every 30 minutes, use a spoon to stir the ice cream to prevent it from becoming too icy. However, the quality of the ice cream made without a machine may not be as smooth and creamy.

Product Requirements
- Vanilla ice cream has a light beige color.
- Texture of the ice cream: fluffy, creamy, and free from icy or lumpy texture.

3. How to Store Vanilla Ice Cream
- Store fresh ice cream at a refrigerator temperature of 15 – 18°C to ensure a smooth, creamy texture.
- Transfer the ice cream into stainless steel containers to maintain good insulation and easy cleaning.
- Cover the ice cream container lid if you're storing it in a shared family refrigerator to ensure the ice cream's flavor isn't overwhelmed by other odors.
