Redmi Note 13 Pro Plushas now landed in the Vietnamese market with an extremely attractive price. For just under 7 million VND, users receive a range of premium features that usually only appear in models priced above 20 million VND.

The Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus this year has a fundamental design upgrade from the Redmi Note 12 series. The Pro+ model from Xiaomi is generously equipped with a back panel finished with curved glass on both sides for a comfortable grip. This back panel is also designed with two halves, with the upper part featuring a different pattern than the lower half.

A standout feature on the rear is the camera system that, looking at the specs, few would believe this is a smartphone under 7 million. The device boasts a triple main camera setup including a super high-resolution 200MP wide-angle, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle, and a 2MP macro camera.

The Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus's wide-angle camera utilizes a developed 200MP sensor, a similar sensor found in devices priced at over 20 million VND. With the 200MP sensor, users can capture incredibly high-resolution images, supporting zoom with high detail, something conventional sensors can't achieve.

Xiaomi integrates a dedicated 200MP photo capture mode for users when needed. In normal shooting mode, the camera will interpolate 16 points to produce a highest quality 12.5MP resolution image. The only drawback of the 200MP sensor is that the captured images have a relatively large file size, ranging from 30 - 60MB per photo.

On the front, Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus features a large 6.67-inch display, using a premium 12-bit OLED panel capable of displaying over 68 billion different colors. This display has a resolution of 1220 x 2712, approaching QHD+, a high refresh rate of 120Hz, brightness of 1800 nits, and is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus.

Notably, the Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus's screen is not the typical flat display; instead, it is designed with curved edges on both sides, providing a tactile and responsive touch experience. Curved edge screens were traditionally seen in high-end models, but in the last 1-2 years, Chinese manufacturers have brought this feature to affordable and mid-range models to compete.

Additionally, the display of the Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus features an under-display optical fingerprint sensor placed below for a more convenient user experience. The selfie camera is positioned in the 'mole' area with a 16MP resolution.

The frame of the Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus is crafted from plastic, housing the connectivity ports, physical buttons, speaker strip, microphone, and SIM card slot. The device still features an infrared 'magic eye' for controlling home appliances; however, it lacks the traditional 3.5mm audio jack.

In terms of performance, the Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus is equipped with the Dimensity 7200 Ultra chipset, a customized version by MediaTek exclusively for Xiaomi devices. This chip delivers relatively strong performance in its segment, capable of smoothly running most popular games on the market at high graphics settings. The Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus boasts up to 16GB of RAM and a maximum storage capacity of 512GB.

Furthermore, Xiaomi outfits the device with a large 5000mAh battery, supporting 120W Turbo Charge fast charging. The device comes with a complimentary charger in the box, allowing the battery to be fully charged in just 20 minutes. This device runs on Android 13 with the MIUI 14 interface and is set to receive future updates to the HyperOS operating system developed by Xiaomi.

A downside of the Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus for Vietnamese users stems from software concerns. Being the domestic version for the Chinese market, the device won't come pre-installed with Google services, including the Google Play Store. Users will need to manually install them. Furthermore, the device lacks native support for Vietnamese language and has limited capability to display Vietnamese fonts, along with the inclusion of several pre-installed bloatware apps.

The Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus hits the shelves in the Chinese market with a relatively affordable price starting from 1899 CNY, equivalent to just over 6 million VND. In Vietnam, the device is offered for sale at prices ranging from 6.9 to 9 million VND depending on the memory variant. Hopefully, in the near future, Xiaomi will bring this device to the Vietnamese market officially with an attractive and competitive price.
