At the CES 2023 event, Motorola unveiled its latest smartphone called the Lenovo ThinkPhone. Initial reports suggest that the ThinkPhone is a powerful device aimed at business users.
The Lenovo ThinkPhone by Motorola - a name that speaks volumes about ambition and a clear message that 'Business comes first, everything else follows'. Drawing inspiration from the renowned ThinkPad line, the software features seamlessly integrate with the ThinkPad to provide a holistic ecosystem for users.

Lenovo opts not for a glass back but instead employs aramid and Kevlar fiber for the rear, covering it with Gorilla Glass Victus. This makes the phone lighter yet still provides a solid grip. The device shines with its Carbon Black finish and signature red accents, a tradition of the ThinkPad series.

The right side of the device houses the volume rocker and power button.

The ThinkPhone features a 6.6-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2,400 x 1,080 pixels, a 144Hz refresh rate, and HDR10+. It offers a smooth swipe experience and quick response throughout usage.

The new phone doesn't lag behind, packing a punch with the Snapdragon 8+Gen 1 processor. The max configuration comes with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage, with no SD card slot support. ThinkPhone supports dual SIMs via dual nano trays, with speakers tuned by Dolby Atmos.

Motorola's recent technology announcement allows you to link your smart phone to your PC or TV to share videos. Think 2 Think is not a new concept, but it's a transformative step for tech giant Lenovo.

ThinkPhone will automatically connect to your PC when both are nearby and on the same Wi-Fi network, and you can activate Think 2 Think features by double-clicking the red button. This technology also supports File Drop, similar to Apple's AirDrop, eliminating the need for physical phone connections via wires.

The Think 2 Think experience is a bit slow to start up but smoothens out after a few seconds. It only experiences slight delays when exiting the Think 2 Think feature and then immediately re-entering. The remote webcam feature using ThinkPhone is also quite interesting, although the field of view is somewhat narrow when used vertically.

Motorola's ThinkPhone also comes with a few apps that regular users might find cumbersome but are essential for business users. This is the first device to leverage the advantage of collaborating with Microsoft, optimizing the Microsoft 365, Outlook, and Teams suite.
The Lenovo ThinkPhone runs on Motorola's MyUX, shipped with Android 13 for a smooth and fast experience. Motorola announced the phone will receive three years of full Android updates and four years of security patch updates.

Motorola ThinkPhone's photography capabilities also show promise, with a main 50MP f/1.8 camera featuring both PDAF and OIS. Additionally, there's a 13MP f/2.2 ultra-wide lens with Macro Vision. On the front, the device boasts a 32MP selfie camera with autofocus.

The device also houses a 5000mAh battery, which Lenovo boasts can last up to 36 hours with fast charging capabilities. It integrates TurboPower with wired 68W charging and 15W wireless charging.

ThinkPhone is confirmed to be released widely in the US, Latin America, Europe, Australia, and select Asian markets in the coming months. Unfortunately, the manufacturer has yet to announce the official price for this product.
