Xiaomi adopts a flat back design and square frame for the POCO X5 Pro 5G, a design language seen in recent Xiaomi smartphones. Essentially, the POCO X5 Pro 5G is a rebranded version of the Redmi Note 12 Pro Speed Edition, exclusively available in the Chinese market. Both devices share similarities in terms of configuration and appearance.

Specifically, the back of the POCO X5 Pro 5G features the main camera system with three lenses: a 108MP wide-angle lens using , an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens with a 120-degree field of view, and a 2MP macro lens. The camera module design is distinctive, featuring the POCO logo placed right next to it.
Regarding the camera quality, this camera setup meets the needs of regular users quite well. However, claiming it excels in capturing beautiful or high-quality shots in challenging conditions might be a stretch, as we all know that cameras on Xiaomi's mid-range smartphones, in general, don't truly stand out.

On the front, the POCO X5 Pro 5G features a 6.67-inch display, utilizing an AMOLED panel with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The flat display adopts a 'hole-punch' design housing a 16MP selfie camera placed at the center of the top edge.
Although using an AMOLED panel, Xiaomi cuts costs by placing the fingerprint sensor on the side of this device. As for display quality, the POCO X5 Pro 5G still offers a screen good enough to meet daily entertainment needs.

The frame of the POCO X5 Pro 5G is crafted from plastic, featuring a sleek square design housing the physical buttons and connectivity ports. The device includes dual speakers, a 3.5mm audio jack, and an infrared blaster at the top edge.

In terms of performance, the POCO X5 Pro 5G is equipped with the Snapdragon 778G chip from Qualcomm. While this chip may be considered somewhat dated in the market, having been around for a few years, it remains a preferred choice for mid-range devices, offering accessibility in terms of pricing.

Scoring the performance of POCO X5 Pro 5G with AnTuTu Benchmark 9 and Geekbench 5/6 software, the device achieves decent scores, capable of meeting gaming needs at a medium to lower graphics level. Despite being released a few years ago, the Snapdragon 778G is still a powerful chip in Qualcomm's 700 series. In Vietnam, the POCO X5 Pro 5G will be available in two memory configurations: 6GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB.
Here are the performance benchmarks for this device, including AnTuTu Benchmark 9, Geekbench 6, and Geekbench 5.
In terms of battery life, Xiaomi equips the POCO X5 Pro 5G with a 5000mAh battery, supporting 67W fast charging, and a charger is included. The device will run on Android 12 with the MIUI 14 interface, and there is no information yet on whether it will be updated to Android 13.
