In this guide, Mytour will walk you through the process of embedding hyperlinks into an email. This tutorial will show you how to convert text into clickable links that will take the recipient to the designated website.
Steps
Using Gmail

Open your Gmail account. If you're already logged into Gmail, you will be directed to your inbox.
- If you're not logged in yet, enter your email address and password, then click Sign in.

Click the Compose button. This button is located at the top-left corner of your screen and opens a new window to compose an email.

Enter the email details. Type the recipient's email address in the "To" field, the subject line in the "Subject" field (optional), and the message content below the "Subject" field.

Select the text you want to hyperlink. Click and drag your cursor to highlight the text you wish to turn into a link. This step emphasizes the selected text.

Click the "Insert link" icon. You will see the chain link symbol at the bottom of the "New Message" window.

Enter the URL. Type the URL into the "URL" field that appears beneath the highlighted text field.

Click on the OK. This button is located at the bottom left corner of the window. Clicking it links the URL to the highlighted text. When you send the email and the recipient reads it, they can click on the link to open the website.
Using Yahoo

Open your Yahoo account. This action opens the Yahoo homepage.
- If you're not signed in, click on Sign in at the top right corner, then enter your email address and password, and click on Sign in.

Click on the Mail. This button is located at the top right corner of the Yahoo homepage.

Click on the Compose. This button is located at the top left corner of the screen.

Enter the email details. Type the recipient's email address in the "To" field, the subject in the "Subject" field (optional), and the body of the email in the space below the "Subject" field.

Select the hyperlink text. Click and drag the cursor to highlight the text you wish to turn into a hyperlink. This will highlight the text.

Click on the "Insert Link" icon. You can find the chain link icon at the bottom of the screen.

Enter the URL. Type the URL into the "URL" field below the highlighted text area.

Click the OK. This button is located at the bottom left corner of the screen. This action links the URL to the selected text. When you send the email, the recipient can click on that text to visit the website.
Using Outlook

Open your Outlook account. If you're already logged in to Outlook, you'll be directed to your Outlook inbox.
- If you're not logged in yet, click on Sign in, enter your email address (or phone number) and password, and click Sign in.

Click on +New (Compose new email). This option is located just above your email list in the inbox. Clicking it opens a new window on the right side of the Outlook page where you can write a new email.

Enter email details. Type the recipient's email address in the "To" field, the subject in the "Add a subject" field (optional), and the email content in the space below the "Add a subject" field.

Select the hyperlink text. Click and drag your cursor to highlight the text you wish to turn into a hyperlink. This action highlights the text.

Click on the "Insert hyperlink" icon. This icon resembles two interlocking circles.

Enter the URL. Type the URL in the "URL:" field next to the text box.

Click on the OK. This button is located at the bottom of the URL window. This action inserts the hyperlink into the bolded text. When the email is sent and opened by the recipient, they can click on the link to visit the website.
Using iCloud Mail (Desktop)

Open your iCloud account. While it is not possible to insert hyperlinks in emails through the Mail app on iPhones, you can access iCloud Mail via the website when using a computer.
- If you haven't logged into your iCloud account yet, enter your Apple ID and password, then click on →.

Click on the Mail icon. The application features a white envelope icon set against a blue background.

Click on the pencil and paper icon. This button is located at the top of the iCloud Mail page. Clicking here opens a new window where you can compose your email.

Enter the email information. Fill in the recipient's email address in the "To" field, the subject in the "Subject" field (optional), and the body of the email in the space below the "Subject" field.

Click on the A icon. This icon is located at the top right corner of the screen.

Select the hyperlink text. Click and drag the mouse pointer over the text you want to convert into a link. This is the step for making the text bold.

Click on the www button. This button is located at the top right corner of the screen. Clicking it opens a new window with bolded text and the URL field.

Enter the URL. Type the web address in the "URL" field located below the bolded text field.

Click the OK button. This action saves the hyperlink. The website is now linked to the bolded text, and when the recipient reads the email, they can click on the text to open the link.
