Smoke Buddy is a portable cigarette odor filter. You can use this device when smoking near others to reduce their exposure to tobacco smoke. While it’s possible to keep the Smoke Buddy dry and clean, the filter itself cannot be cleaned. From now until it needs replacing, you should take care of your Smoke Buddy to be able to smoke in public places without disturbing others.
Steps
Wash the Smoke Buddy

Moisten a paper towel with clean water. Turn on the water faucet and dampen the towel slightly. Avoid using a soaking wet towel, as this will not only fail to clean the Smoke Buddy but also leave small fibers inside the device.
- You can also use baby wipes, but avoid those containing alcohol.

- Do not attempt to clean the filter. As this is a single-use device, it should be replaced when it can no longer function properly.

Clean the outside of the device with a damp cloth. Use a paper towel to wipe the exterior of the Smoke Buddy. Continue using the same towel or replace it with a fresh one to wipe down the outer plastic, removing any remaining debris.

Let the Smoke Buddy dry in a well-ventilated area. You can use a dry towel to absorb excess moisture. Wipe down the outside of the Smoke Buddy, then use a pencil to push a paper towel inside. Absorb as much moisture as possible from the interior, then place the Smoke Buddy in a well-ventilated area until ready for use again.
Maintenance and Replacement of the Smoke Buddy

Open the cap after use. Moisture from your breath will accumulate inside the Smoke Buddy after each use. Place the Smoke Buddy on a table or in a well-ventilated area to allow the device to dry out, ensuring it lasts longer and remains usable.

Use the Smoke Buddy for a maximum of 3 months. Three months is the typical lifespan of the product. This equates to approximately 150 uses for the Junior size and 300 uses for the regular size. Depending on how often you use it, the device may need to be replaced sooner.

Replace the Smoke Buddy when the filter becomes difficult to blow through. You will know it’s time to replace it when the filter becomes completely clogged and smoke begins to accumulate inside the Smoke Buddy. You will no longer feel fresh air coming out of the device’s mouthpiece.
