Your physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health will be impacted if your chakras are blocked or out of balance. You may feel unwell or disconnected in various ways. Fortunately, you can unblock and balance your chakras with the help of a pendulum. A crystal pendulum will help you detect the energy levels of each chakra. We will guide you through each step of using a pendulum to clear your chakras.
Steps
Select a pendulum that attracts you.

You don't need a special pendulum to clear your chakras. When shopping for a pendulum, choose one that resonates with you, such as one that vibrates or changes temperature when held.
- Most pendulums are made with crystals. Clear quartz is an excellent choice for clearing or balancing chakras because it is versatile for all purposes.
- If you prefer, you can purchase a chakra pendulum with different colored crystals, each representing a specific chakra.
Clean the pendulum before using it.

Don't let residual energy affect your interpretation of the chakras. Fortunately, you can easily cleanse your crystal pendulum using the 5 elements. Choose one of the following methods to see which suits you best:
- Water: Place the pendulum under running water. Note that water may damage stones like black tourmaline, selenite, peacock ore, malachite, celestine, angelite, or kyanite.
- Fire: Place the pendulum under direct sunlight to cleanse and recharge the crystal. Be aware that some crystals may discolor under sunlight.
- Air: Smudge the pendulum with incense smoke or burning herbs.
- Earth: Fill a bowl with salt and bury the pendulum in it overnight.
- Aether: Place the pendulum under the moonlight and surround it with a circle of salt.
Clear your mind and connect with the pendulum.

A calm mind will yield better results. Set the scene with incense, candles, and soothing music if you wish. Sit or lie comfortably. Spend a few minutes grounding yourself, relaxing, and preparing to receive answers. At this point, hold the pendulum in your hand to transfer energy into it.
- You may silently repeat your intention, such as “I am here to clear my chakras,” or “Please help me open my chakras.”
- If you like, meditate for a few minutes while connecting with the pendulum. Meditation also helps set the intention to clear your chakras.
Start with the crown chakra and the root chakra.

The crown chakra and root chakra are located at opposite ends of the spine. The crown chakra is situated at the top of the head and represents your spiritual life. In contrast, the root chakra is found at the base of the spine and stands for stability and survival. Both of these chakras are ideal starting points.
- The simplest approach is to begin with the crown chakra and work your way down. Alternatively, you may start from the root chakra, as it is the first chakra.
- If possible, seek assistance from someone, as reaching some chakras, particularly the root chakra, can be difficult.
Hold the pendulum over the chakras.

Swing the pendulum about 5-7.5 cm away from your body. If you begin at the crown chakra, align the crystal with the top of your head. If starting at the root chakra, position the crystal in front of the base of your spine.
- It is best to keep the pendulum slightly closer to your body, but not so close that it cannot swing freely without touching you.
Remain still while your energy moves the pendulum.

At first, the pendulum will remain motionless. After a few minutes, the pendulum will begin to move on its own if it is working properly. Make sure to keep your hand or arm steady so you don't accidentally interfere with its movement.
- If the pendulum doesn't move, it could indicate that your chakra is blocked, or it may be due to not holding the pendulum in the right position. Try adjusting the crystal's position slightly to see if it makes a difference.
Observe the swinging motion of the pendulum to infer whether your chakra is open or closed.

When the pendulum moves, pay attention to whether it swings or rotates in a specific direction. This will help you determine whether your chakra is open or closed. The direction of the pendulum's movement has the following meanings:
- Clockwise rotation: the chakra is open.
- Counterclockwise rotation: the chakra is closed or blocked.
- Side-to-side swinging: the chakra is blocked horizontally, as energy is being held back.
- Up and down motion: the chakra is blocked vertically because energy is being used improperly.
- Diagonal movement: the chakra is partially blocked due to indecisiveness.
- No movement: the chakra is completely devoid of energy.
Ask your pendulum yes/no questions.

You may find it easier to ask your pendulum questions. Typically, the pendulum can give three possible answers: yes, no, or unsure. You just need to hold the pendulum over the chakra and ask, 'Is this chakra blocked?' You will get an answer in a moment.
- For example, a clockwise swing might mean 'yes,' while a counterclockwise swing indicates 'no.' A straight motion could mean 'unsure.'
- When using the pendulum for the first time, try to observe how it responds to 'yes,' 'no,' or 'unsure' by holding the pendulum and asking, 'What does the answer 'yes' look like?' Then, observe its movement. Your pendulum will answer 'yes,' 'no,' and 'unsure' in different ways. If it doesn’t, try again.
Assess the flow of energy based on the width of the pendulum's movement.

The pendulum also measures the energy level within your chakras. Wide circular or swinging motions indicate a high energy level in the chakra, while narrow movements suggest a low energy level.
- In general, all chakras should maintain a balanced energy level. If several chakras have low energy, it indicates an imbalance in your system.
Repeat the process for all 7 chakras.

Examine each chakra in sequence. Observe the swinging direction of the pendulum over each chakra to identify any blockages or imbalances. Below are the characteristics each chakra represents and their locations:
- Crown chakra (spirituality & enlightenment): located at the top of the head.
- Third eye chakra (wisdom & imagination): located in the center of the forehead.
- Throat chakra (communication & self-expression): located at the throat.
- Heart chakra (love, compassion & peace): located in the center of the chest.
- Solar plexus chakra (confidence): located in the upper abdomen.
- Sacral chakra (sexuality & creativity): located in the lower abdomen.
- Root chakra (safety & stability): located at the base of the spine.
Meditate on blocked or imbalanced chakras to heal them.

Meditation is a powerful way to unblock chakras. It’s simple and easy – all you need to do is focus on each chakra and imagine positive energy flowing into it. If you wish, you can chant specific sounds to target a particular chakra:
- Crown: chant the sound 'ng,' pronounced like 'ing' or 'eng.'
- Third eye: chant the sound 'om.'
- Throat: chant the sound 'ham.'
- Heart: chant the sound 'yam.'
- Solar plexus: chant the sound 'ram.'
- Sacral: chant the sound 'vam.'
- Root: chant the sound 'lam.'
Use the pendulum to ensure that your chakra is open.

Meditation is hoped to help you unblock your chakras. To be sure, begin again with the crown or root chakra and check each chakra to confirm that they are open and balanced.
- If any chakra is still blocked, meditate on that chakra again.
